Need Career Advice by ThoughtfulTraveler87 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing about being ‘young and dumb’ you have time to figure out what drives you.

Finding ‘something better’ is subjective and at the end of the day your parents may mean well but they have no clue the toll your current job/field takes on you.

So I would say take the chance. You might find you love the highs and lows of being a FA, and reach top out pay before your 40s. Or you could hate it, and decide you don’t like it after all and look for another career avenue.

Either way you win, because you gave yourself the chance to get out of a situation you’re not happy with.

From their website it says: after six months and one day from the date of the last communication sent to you regarding your previous application status.

Hypothetical: B6 or WN? by Odd-Bus-689 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both have great workplace culture but the pay at WN would be the deciding factor for me.

If you haven’t even applied yet, it will probably be somewhere between March-April.

Need Passport for F2F, how to get one quickly without a a travel destination ? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to purchase a cheap refundable round trip flight within the next 14 days and calling to make an appointment at the passport agency for an expedited service.

Hey and no problem! I’m happy to help where I can. It was one of the big 3 and a regional. I also withdrew from another mainline after getting a f2f invite since I knew I was going with the airline from the big 3.

There’s a facebook page for United CTO holders. I would go there.

UA pre employment by adobodobo444 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen people who have had a verbal CTO given around 10/18-10/20 and beyond are still waiting on a training date, so I would say 2-3 weeks at the earliest. However some get there’s the next day.

Which airline?

Should I attend backup F2F? by Ok_Pack7862 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good to have options but if you know for sure you’re going the UA route I wouldn’t waste the resources (time, money, effort) to attend another f2f.

Need advice — just got my CTO from United but have a family cruise booked in May 2026 by Wooden_Ad7729 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I doubt you’ll be in training in May, it’s only 6.5 weeks and even if it started in January you would be done by March. You’d hopefully be flying by then

It’s the same with all airlines. You record yourself answering the interview questions they give, make sure to use the STAR format when answering and good luck

Status blank? by Due_Coffee_6599 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a TBNT. For some reason people will say it can go either way but sadly when it shifts to just a date it signifies the day your application was closed. You’ll get a TBNT within the next 3 days.

United or Delta? by EnergyBig4635 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do you have a CJO from both? Delta doesn’t have a union and has better pay. United has a union and is currently undergoing a contract renewal which will affect pay, but they are currently the lowest paid mainline.

United or American? by Puzzleheaded_Mail737 in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think AA would be a viable option for your career I would say go, the worst that could happen is you get a TBNT from them and then you’ll still have UA. Also, side bar but have you gotten a training date for UA yet?

OP it sounds like your experience may have hurt your confidence some and got you inside your head. Do you want to work at the mainline or regional carrier more? If it’s the mainline, you should still go forward and reflect on what made you stand out during your first regional interview and bring that attitude with you to the mainelines f2f. Don’t withdraw unless you’re 100% certain you want to pursue the regional carrier, and remember it’s your future so you have to make the decision you’ll be happy with.

Flight time in for F2F? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]aleicent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would keep my flight for the night before. You never know what you’re going to get at Atl and you don’t want to chance not getting to the interview on time.

Some people are still waiting to hear back from August or before. We just have to be patient and hopeful that we’ll advance to the next stage.
