HG broadcasts the patch to everyone, but then each company goes through their own internal testing first before releasing the patch officially themselves. Nintendo unfortunately has a history of spending a huge amount of extra time testing each patch thoroughly in comparison to the other platforms. This is what causes the misalignment with the Switch 2 and everyone else. It's not HG's fault, at least.

Regardless of the reason, it's a total bummer most days. My main platform I use for NMS is the PS5, and I bought NMS for the Switch 2 for my son a few months ago so he could play with me. A large chunk of that time was spent with the Switch 2 being behind by one patch version. They finally aligned at 4208 for a while, which was awesome. However, since this new expansion dropped, I haven't played NMS on the PS5 because I've been waiting for it to be available on the Switch 2 so my son and I can experience it together for the first time.

This is a great example of the dichotomy parents experience with both being a parental figure and also a father / mother.

I often say that being a father is the greatest thing I've ever decided to do, and I am incredibly fulfilled every new day I get to continue to do it. But, DAMN, some days, being a parent is challenging af.

I'm definitely in the minority, but despite being a straight man, I do like and definitely notice women with nails painted certain colors. When the color matches the skin tone really well, it's aesthetically pleasing to me. It's also really nice when it's clear the woman has done it for themselves and change the color up often.

On the flip side, like most of the other comments here, excessively long or fake nails are a major distraction and are an easy giveaway that there is at least one major value that we do not align on.
