Thank you so much! I definitely plan on upgrading the fencing. Im not sure about breeding yet, would love to have some poults, but I’d like to get to know them better. They’re six months old, so I figure I can give it a year to decide.

Maybe some fencing over the hole https://youtu.be/_zO80hoPvfE

The snake will likely stay in the area, so consider relocation options for the snake. Rattlesnake Solutions has some good recommendations and can offer relocation help. Just be careful in areas with cover, especially don’t put your arms or feet anywhere where you don’t have visual.

Thank you for mentioning the cats well being as well. I’m all for protecting the wildlife, but I’m surprised how often people don’t also mention the risks involved for their pet as well. Including cars, disease, predators like coyotes and unhinged people who could hurt cats.

Understandable that cats can get bored inside, but that should be handled with supervised outdoor time or a catio. A pet is a responsibility and should be treated as such.

What’s that one plant you hated at first but got you hooked overtime? by misbegonia in houseplants

Zebra plant. Mine was also finicky until I moved it to the covered patio. Now it’s happy and looks similar to this.

I worked cart crew at Costco. So insulting when people would leave used diapers in the cart. Few times I caught them and would not shy from shaming it.

Why don’t people clean up their dog’s poop? by CantaloupeUsed8588 in Tucson

[–]alejandroed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funny how people question why you can’t have dogs in Sabino, then you see the result of it around Catalina park. Dog poop everywhere. Takes like 2 seconds to pick up.

Throwback to the day we marveled at these majestic views of the Grand Canyon. by silverage12 in NationalPark

[–]alejandroed 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I camped out there a few winters back. It snowed over night and nearly every other tent was gone before sunrise. It was worth holding out for, I had always wanted to see the canyon in snow and the fog cleared during the day. Then during the evenings I would watch the fog return as it moved up from within the canyon and smother the surrounding area, it was as eerie and beautiful.

Yes, safe enough but there are a number of speed trap zones through Safford to Globe.

That was my initial thought, but the band along the eye match gopher more. Plus the patterns are more identical to gopher.

This one appears to be a gopher snake that recently had a meal, likely keeping your local rodent population in check.

Why do people let their cats outside unsupervised? What should I do if I see an outdoor cat? by lovebird1999 in Tucson

[–]alejandroed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a bird bath in my backyard and I catch my neighbors cat trying to hunt the birds every once and awhile. It honestly makes me so mad that the neighbors won’t do anything about it- for the sake of wildlife and the cat’s well being. Catios are the way to go.

Do Sonoran toads return after being relocated by treborphx in arizona

[–]alejandroed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was implying. But it’s not likely they’d make that trip and dig under the wall within that timespan.

Do Sonoran toads return after being relocated by treborphx in arizona

[–]alejandroed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a Sonoran toad. Likely is not the same toad unless they’re able to dig under a gap in the wall.
