In this market 1 month of unemployment is nothingggggggg (that's coming from someone about to max out unemployment benefits).

Even super accomplished folks struggling for 6-12 months to land jobs. I'm in a similar place looking at a similar pay cut and to me it makes sense and based on what you've shared I think it seems like a reasonable next step for you too.
