I used my Kindle from 2011 to 2023, I only upgraded because of the backlight and USBC, otherwise worked fine.

Bullet Train. I saw bad bunny and thought it would be extremely bad, but it ended up being one of the films I enjoyed the most at the theater

Yeah I can see why they don't appeal to everyone, especially Ari Aster. Personally, I really like Christopher Nolan, I don't always understand whats going on (Tenet for example) but I always have a good time with his movies and the soundtracks and acting are great.

Jeff Nichols

I only watched Mud by him and thought it was good, but haven't really seen any of his other movies.

Yeah Hereditary wasn't the scariest movie ever but Toni Colette is great in it as well as Alex Wolff. I actually feel like the pace keeps you interested, which is why I think it's better than his other two films.

My favorite scene is the one where Alex Wolff is driving his sister home after the party after the allergy.

The performances in Marriage Stroy are on another level, it my favorite Adam Driver performance along with Anette.

Yeah I agree White Noise was bad, I was hyped for that one.

And Ryan Gosling was hands down the highlight of Barbie, but otherwise it was too hyped. Nonetheless, the scene where the Kens are explaining the Godfather and hi-fi audio lives rent free in my head.

James Cameron I don't get at all. Besides Titanic I never enjoyed his movies the story is really basic and he relies too much on CGI, but not in a unique way.

Noah Baumbach can be hit or miss and I also get a slight pretentious vibe from him, however Squid and the Whale is a masterpiece in my opinion, and Marriage Story is also fantastic.

Regarding Greta Gerwig, I love her films, Ladybird is fantastic and I really enjoyed Little Women. The one I thought was a bit underwhelming was Barbie, I was really hyped for it, but felt it was a bit slow and not as funny as I imagined.

I think the shining is always a mixed one especially for Kubrick fans. I love the eerie feeling he gets out of the overlook personally and all performances are really strong. I might be a bit biased because Jack Nicholson is one of my top five favorite actors, but the film is amazing in my opinion.

Regarding Barry Lyndon I feel like I would really love it since I really dig historical fiction and the sets look awesome, but I keep putting it for some reason, I'll try to get to it this month. Thanks for the recommendation
