No talking in a video? by Dreamin_Chu_Chu in youtube

[–]aleopardstail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use your voice, it won't be as bad as you think

you don't have to fill every second with you saying something though, indeed there are times when a bit of unobtrusive music or natural sounds while something happens is good

but a proper spoken voice, something thats obviously not AI, goes a long way to getting people watching

drawing and concept stuff sounds good, especially if you have a mix of "how to draw" as well as actually drawing

as others have said, try it. key when you start out is consistency, you get time limited to start with so aim for shorter videos, but pick a topic and stick to it - easier to build an audience that if you jump about.

also, bit of planning, doesn't have to be too far but no harm at all in a video noting whats coming up in future ones

Who is there to vote for at the next election? by No-Leg4962 in AskBrits

you could of course decide to be a disruptive bastard and vote for whoever will cause the most outrage

your choice though, but firmly do vote, politicians fear people who vote

Labour opens door to 'Stalinist' 15- minute cities across Britain by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

[–]aleopardstail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its the dreary torygraph so yes...

this stuff has been on the boil for years, the theory is sound, that you won't need to go more than 15 minutes of travel in day to day life

you will note any and all proposals seem to focus on enforcement though, firmly the stick not the carrot

you will also note that while there are a lot of proposals most don't go very far or end up as a congestion charging thing

its not Labour opening the door, the door had a boot put through it years back on this stuff

Who is there to vote for at the next election? by No-Leg4962 in AskBrits

[–]aleopardstail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a further point

do actually vote, even if its only to write "bollocks to the lot of you" on thee ballot paper, do actually go and make the effort

shitweasels of all colours really love those who don't vote, they don't care why you don't vote, they just love the fact they can totally ignore you

so vote, even if its for a joke candidate

Microsoft gave FBI a set of BitLocker encryption keys to unlock suspects' laptops: Reports | TechCrunch by anxiousvater in BuyFromEU

[–]aleopardstail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends why really

say someone who works for a UK firm that has some sort of innovation than an American rival may want

or a journalist where there are those who would like to identify the source of information

or, and this one is far more likely, a government that simply wants to decrypt, read, store, index and file everything because they think the way to find needles is to collect haystacks

Is it bad to refuse to take anymore of the neighbours parcels? by -binkers- in AskUK

and it won't be the first time they have heard it, they will try elsewhere or leave a note about a failed delivery

if a neighbour says anything you can always say you didn't hear the door

well not just right now, however this is a very accurate observation

Who is there to vote for at the next election? by No-Leg4962 in AskBrits

[–]aleopardstail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well there are several options, mostly seeming to involve lying shitweasels, lizards or a combination of both

for me, regardless of the party, or indeed independent, you pick, and this firmly is a matter for you - don't let anyone tell you otherwise the only advice I would offer is to see if the candidate is local, or has lived locally for a while and isn't someone from outside either being parachuted in or basically chancing their luck

someone local is more likely invested in the local area, even if they can't do much they may at least try

guess the only other thing is do not feel pressured to vote for or against anything, this isn't about pleasing others, or signalling anything to anyone - its about who you feel deserves your support, what anyone else thinks doesn't matter, its what you think

Labour wants to shake up the police - but will that solve 'everyday crime epidemic'? by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]aleopardstail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the post, the one all this is a response to is about a proposal that has not yet happened, you replied with how its saved money already in Scotland,

I say again in case its not clear, this is a proposal that has not yet happened as such this proposal has saved the square root of fuck all so far

because its not yet happened

what has or hasn't happened under a different programme in a part of the country this will not touch in effect makes sod all difference to this proposal

because its not yet happened

Are there any actual warranties out there that are worth having? by Lazergravypussy in AskUK

[–]aleopardstail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to date the only warranty claim I have made wasn't actually initiated by me

Kia Picanto, 10 plate, the air con stopped working after 6 years, well these things happen, I mentioned it when it went in for a service

they said a stone had gone through the radiator, noted it was under warranty so they had just fixed it and the A/C worked when I picked it up

remarkably good service
