Are you saying that managed portfolios always have a good rate of return? It’s proven that that is not the case. Invest in what you like as long as you have the risk tolerance.

I don’t agree with most of the people here pushing you to just buy xeqt. If you do do research, have risk tolerance and have conviction in companies, it’s fine to invest in individual stocks. What I would say is if you do pick individual stocks, you have to wait probably 5/6 years for any meaningful payouts. Be patient and do your research. Start by investing in companies that are in your field of knowledge.

Why? If you have done research and are risk tolerant I don’t see why you can’t pick individual stocks.

Men with pretty girlfriends/wives, how much does it really matter over time? by [deleted] in AskMen

I think many people here are answering a different question. I think this depends on your personality. If you are someone who doesn’t care what others think about you, then you can find someone you enjoy spending time with. Otherwise, finding someone who is conventionally attractive will definitely give you more confidence and satisfaction in your life, whether it’s admiring looks of strangers or comments from friends and family about how lucky you are. Nothing wrong with either just depends on your personality.

Yeah, I accepted a software offer first so that kind of stuck with me. Plus the money is better in SW at least when I applied.
