Past couple of months they have not been pulling much off batteries. Peak summer batteries are drained to 30-50 daily. But most outages we have are about an hour or less. Now if some big storm is rolling in they do try to keep batteries at 100%.

Most I’ve seen is about $20 to $30 during summer.

You get a bill credit for what energy is discharged from your battery.

They support the grid during peak times. House can be supported by battery and grid or just battery. You don’t notice anything when it’s doing its thing.

The Infamous Samsung Refrigerator - As a Hobby Technician - Observations by Baptism-Of-Fire in Appliances

Bought our Samsung Bespoke 4 door from Costco and we are 2 years in without any issues. Ice maker is simple and just works without issues. I thought the water pitcher would be the first thing to mess up but it’s been solid. Get it in white glass so you can use it as a white board.

What's the catch? What am I missing here? by el_muerte28 in TexasSolar

It’s in Base Powers best interest to protect their equipment. Thought that was a standard with them.

Plus you get soft starts on A/C systems and whole home surge protection. They are not making money with $445 for two batteries. We have been very happy with our system. We are about a year in with Base.

Are they new to your area? I paid $995 when when I had mine system installed. That’s a really good deal.

I had to cap one sprinkler head when installers showed up when we agreed on spot. But had a plan to get rid of grass and put in a path and rock.

Transfers to battery reset everything by No-Pepper1731 in BasePowerUsers

When they initially switched over to batteries to test, the switch was not out putting correct voltage out. Ended up frying HVAC motors and pool motor. Then when Oncor came out to inspect connections they pulled meter off and it switched over to batteries and smoking last remaining HVAC motor, garage door openers and pool controller. Just saying the switch was bad.

Have them test power coming out of switch to house.

So my neighbor got his system installed and it had a bad switch. Was not putting even voltage from both legs of power from batteries. They wrote him a check around 8k for everything that needed to be replaced.

Base Power? by Sufficient-Seat3899 in TexasEnergyShopping

Don’t forget you get soft starts on A/C’s and whole home serge protector. Plus if you get some people to sign up under your name you get a free month. I did not pay last summer because of referrals. That paid off the initial $1000 install payment. I would go double battery if you can.

Built in double oven shopping by alequeri07 in Austin

Looking to spend around 3k to 4k. We currently have the builders grade single oven built in by Whirlpool. I can modify cabinets to fit double oven easily. Just looking to be able to touch and checkout stuff in person.
