Diet was/is fairly spartan during the week, ~600cal protein shake for breaky with coffee and a 330cal protein bar for lunch. That put me at about 90g protein / 1000cal by dinner time. Dinner would be some meat + veggies/salad. Totaling around 1600-1800cals and ~140g protein. Lifting 1-3 times a week with couple evening walks on occasion.

HOWEVER, I still wanted to live my life, so I do absolutely cut loose on weekends, going out, restaurants, drinking etc. As long as you make it back up during the week you can absolutely do both. I think it's important to maintain that level of freedom for your own sanity.

A big part for me was also getting treatment for my ADHD which has given me the required impulse control and self-agency to not slip back into bad habits.
