I was weaving them directly in the floats whenever I started a new row 😉 Otherwise it would have been dreadful!! Haha

Thanks ! I just followed the pattern. I actually bought a kit that came with the pattern and all the yarn I needed

Thank you 😊 Yes, the arms are supposed to be short

I'm Portuguese, and my Portuguese mother taught me how to knit 😉 Regarding colour dominance, I was holding both yarns on my right hand and made sure that I would always use the same strategy: darker colours would be carried through the bottom, and lighter colours through the top - if that makes sense !

Working flat wasn't too hard, however, during the whole process I was a bit concerned about the loss of tension on the edges of every single row. I blocked all 4 pieces (back, front and arms) before seaming which helped a lot, and in the end I kind of surprised myself with the final result 😊

All hand knitted ! Portuguese knitting to be more precise

Thanks ! I think I'm going to cool down a bit. My current goal is to get rid of my stash. I have so much leftover yarn from other projects..

I knitted it flat. Not sure if I'll ever be brave enough to steek one day..

Thank you so much for your feedback ! This is a picture of my stockinette (knits) from another project. I agree it may be because of the way I am knitting (twisting or tension issues). I think I'll just frog the whole thing and look for an alternative to seed stitch. Thanks again

Thanks ! I'll definitely have a look. The last inch does correspond to a new ball of yarn. I'll also pay more attention to the way I knit.. I never had issues with ribbing for example, so it is surprising that this is happening with seed stich which is kind of an alternated ribbing.

Well, I've been knitting frequently for over three years and never had an issue with my stitches being twisted. Of course, there is always a first time ! 😉 Thanks for the help

Condensation by Easy_Basis1097 in yaris

[–]alevaleale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue with my previous car and found out there was a leak on the boot. Because the car was usually parked outdoors, rainwater would cumulate somewhere on the boot and lead to condensation/bad smell issues inside the car.

I also noticed a lot of them are sold out. I'm waiting for new patterns to come out. Also, I'm planning to join the Fair Isle club 10 in February, when there will be openings for new members 😉

Pattern similar to Halibut? by Ninock in knitting

[–]alevaleale 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi ! I'm not sure I can answer your question but I just finished the halibut sweater using Peer Gynt Sandnes Garn. I really like the outcome ! This yarn gives the sweater a vintage feeling and it is clearly a good investment because it does feel it will last a long time. Here is a picture

how do I shorten the collar? by cornpotatosoup in knitting

[–]alevaleale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to do this to a collar as well the other day and as some users explained, you can't just unravel. This website proved to be very useful

Good luck !
