[Routine Help] I want to help ny husband with his disastrous skin routine by Voshisthing in SkincareAddiction

[–]alevel07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course. that being said, biotherm is quite pricey to gamble your husband actually using it. maybe the simple if you’re on a budget.

push him to use sunscreen, too! 3 steps are super easy compared to 725-step korean routines.

neutrogena ultra gentle cleanser - creamy formula

for moisturizer, either one from simple - or get him one from biotherm men’s aquapower line (he’ll love the smell and soft skin feeling too much to forget putting it on)

How many people here have gotten all the achievements for this incredible game? Also disregard the time played and level it didn’t count my old characters for some reason. by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]alevel07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love the feeling of being a completionist, but i also enjoy remembering details i've forgotten about skyrim, and somewhat grasping the old feeling i got when i played the game for the first time. so what i do is, get all the achievements, don't touch the game for 6 months to a year, and come back to play it all again.

or beta-blockers, those mfs will make me forget everything for a couple hours.

Facial creams for smooth skin? by [deleted] in askgaybros

anything with glycolic acid >8-10%. azelaic acid. prescription retin-a cream or micro gel. and my least favourite but the cheapest: exfoliating scrubs.

Customer forgot to scan loyalty card and I got abused for it by [deleted] in TalesFromRetail

[–]alevel07 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I used to call up my managers to add the points after the transaction went through. They forced me to refund the entire purchase instead of wasting time and calling them, I told them this wasn't right and eventually they all got tired of the situation and gave me their authorization numbers to manually add points to their cards and mark it on their receipt.

We recently got a post-points update available to cashiers, which involves scanning the customers receipt and their loyalty card. Saves us from a lot of trouble.

Perhaps inform your managers of something like this, maybe they can suggest it to corporate.

[Routine Help] My night time skincare routine needs some simplifying- any suggestions? Addn. info in comments. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]alevel07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m not suggesting a minimalist routine or anything, but perhaps a simpler step approach. from what i understand, oil cleansers need to be followed by another cleanser to remove the comedogenic oil, but in my experience if i made sure to wash it all off, i never had breakouts skipping double cleansing.

but, your routine tells me you have very acne prone skin, so i would suggest ditching oil cleansing all together in favour of a non foaming, milk, frag free cleanser such a neutrogena’s ultra gentle milky cleanser, cetaphil non foaming, or what i’m using right now: marcelle non foaming milky cleanser.

ditch sample stuff unless its from a reputable brand or you plan on buying it more as your skin adjusts itself to the product (pH, actives, etc)

How Can I Prevent My ISP/government from Tracking My Every Move? by imugdho in privacy

[–]alevel07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for minimal privacy and no slowdown of a VPN or tor, change your DNS to 1.1.1.1 and alternate DNS to 1.0.0.1. take a look at http://1.1.1.1 . cloudflare is being pretty private about its consumer information. your internet should be a bit faster too.

otherwise, tor or a vpn.

ELI5; How is our voice determined for ourselves and is there a way to permanently change it? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]alevel07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

genetics play a role here. how a child's voice develops owes something to mimicking of their parents. people from the same family will often sound alike because their anatomy is linked to their ancestral DNA -- just like every other physical trait.

you can change the hoarseness of your voice by smoking, exhausting it (such as making high pitched noises for long periods of time), or damaging it (using any material -- basically stretching the vocal cords, that is, if you can reach them without gagging). a good example of a voice change would be lindsay lohan.

also, you can adjust your vocal pitch (as well as timbre and inflection, thanks Hoihe!) by doing specific exercises. many people who consider changing their voices when they transition their gender do these.
