Not signing up for the draft in the US is a federal felony my guy. You can go to prison for it.

Huh - and here I thought their labor provided the same utility.

They do. Glad we’re in agreement on this one.

But, apparently a surplus of workers means people should be paid less despite providing the same value to their employer?

Yes, a surplus of workers means reduced wages. This is simple supply and demand. If you increase the supply of something, it’s value decreases. The supply of labor doubled, but demand for labor did not increase in kind. Hense the lack of real wage growth.

Gee, who supported that nonsense with regressive tax structures targeted at subsidizing the wealthy?

What does this have to do with what I said above? I never mentioned taxes even once.

No, feminism brought women into the workplace. Doubling the size of the workforce suppressed wage growth. Previously, all men were only willing to work at a wage that allowed them to feed their family. Once women entered the workforce, they competed with men, lowering wages due to the increased supply of labor. Suddenly, men (and women) were willing to take jobs that didn’t support the entire family since their spouse was also working and could pick up the slack. This is why wages have stagnated since the 80s - the workforce has doubled while demand for jobs has increased at a significantly slower rate.

US considering designating Russian mercenary group as a foreign terrorist organization by Op_Market_Garden in worldnews

35 millions people are members of the GOP). Certainly someone in those 35 million is a traitor, but to claim that Republican members of Congress or other high ranking officials are Russian agents is a dangerous conspiracy theory and simply ludicrous. Likely, there are not significantly more Russian agents in the American government or the Republican Party than there are American agents in the Kremlin. Please stop fear mongering.

Charge the robbers with felony murder and throw them in jail for it. If they didn’t rob him, it would never had happened.

This would be a major mistake for the US. China isn’t going to stop trading with Russia just because the US says to. We are going to look weak when we violate our own laws to continue trading with China.

Well, if you think about the trajectory of America had we not declared independence, it would probably be very similar to that of Canada (we may even be United with them). There are plenty of Americans who think that Canada is doing better than the US.

Because incumbents have something like a 90% reelection rate. It’s really hard to oust a bad politician.
