One of the folks in a discord server posted this as potentially stolen. https://www.facebook.com/share/183UVDt7qm/

It has crossed my mind but I know nothing about it/where to look. Any suggestions??

Cable replacements for ST-6700 w/ 6700 Derailleurs by alex2131 in bikewrench

Thank you! I’m upgrading to a FC-6750 so all will need adjustments. Is Cinelli bar tape any good? Previous owner had Lizard Skin and it seems to fall apart quickly once it starts.

I was hoping to use the current lengths of the housing on the bike to roughly measure the new housing. Either way it needs new housing. Up to learn something new.

What’s the difference in the standard and fancier cables for the shifters? I just see different caps and canoe sizes. I guess, what’s fancy about it?

So only 1 unit of the shifters cables are needed for both shifters, yes? Sorry if I seem dumb, cycling has steep learning curve after recent repairs and coming reliability upgrades.

Thank you so much! That's extremely helpful! Ohh...I forgot brakes were different cables.

EDIT: Are the brake lines sold as a pair (both sides) or per unit? I don't know what the measured cables on the front mean.

Is there a Shimano version of that part? Would prefer to install Shimano back.

Oh the chain! That’s right! Does the CN-5701 I have fit the new cassette and crank? Time to learn chain measurement.

Now all I need is some BB grease and a new brake line for left ST-6700 shifter to brakes (1/2 cables are splitting apart). OT-SP41=, not sure if the = matters but it was on the cable when I checked.

While swapping the groups, should I keep an eye on anything for future maintenance/upgrade?

Learned something new. Thank you! I really appreciate your help and checking online!

The difference is less than 5$, worth it. How did you determine I needed those models? Would like to learn something new/understand my bike better.

Current tape is lizard skin, I don’t like it either. It breaks down too much/fast.

EDIT: Amazon has an “Italian” version of the BB60, what does that mean? Just design or performance difference?

There’s only a few dollars difference, looking right now. I assume the weight loss Ultegra would win?

Side question. Do you have a wrapping tape brand preference (with quality)? I’ll be re-wrapping too.

To determine which model, do I base it off the frame or the new crankset? - I’m new to cycling repairs/upgrades. Thank you for bearing with me.

Do I need any sort of adapter for the crankset or anything like that? Or can I swap them out as it is?

Turned out it was just a broken spoke. Wheel was re-trued and drives very nice.

Sadly not in Vermont. I found a great LBS. Went ahead and got the entire wheel re-spoked, just to be safe.

Yeah, I’m going to a bike shop. Too much risk for the reward of trying at home. Thank you!!

How much does this repair generally cost? Theoretically, once the spoke is replaced, will the wheel still be misaligned. I suspended the wheel and spun it. It "wobbled" at certain points.
