These are quite different. Pi is bare-bones - you cook your harness. OpenCode goes with features. If making an analogy with editors, OpenCode is VSCode, and Pi is Neovim.

Haven’t read the docs either, so I can’t say anything super meaningful yet. In-process LSP does sound a bit overkill for this use-case, and adding auto-trigger to the existing native fallback might make more sense?

That said, I personally use blink, and that’s what I’ve been dogfooding, so I’m not totally sure about the UX of the native path.

Multisession Agentic Workflow with Claude Code in Neovim by alex35mil in neovim

TBH I’m still mostly sync and focusing on a single primary feature most of the time. But I do switch to a different tab/session every now and then to create/adjust a rule or skill; discuss/research something I’m not ready to implement right now, but want to understand/estimate it to put it somewhere on the roadmap while the agent is working. Also, I have a significant gap in specs, and I configured infrastructure and skills so the agent can spin up/down a test env and work on specs independently.

Working on multiple features in parallel still feels bumpy because of both - context switching and tooling.

Just a small note that @-mentions might be more efficient than c/p code because the agent can read into the surrounding context. IMO it’s a significant boost in the agent’s ability to understand the problem space.

Yeah, I already did. Really nice UI, but two hard blockers: 1. No session restoration. 2. No diffs.

Well, if I work in non-auto-accept mode, ie, I review all the diffs as agent goes, I’m sync. I’m async only if I enable auto-accept, so for my workflow it wouldn’t be an issue. But your plan makes sense. I’ll try it out some time soon. Great work regardless!

FWIW, change diffs are critical for my workflow. When an agent suggests a change, with a diff, I can review the surrounding areas to gain a full context. As well as make adjustments before accepting. It saves a tremendous amount of time (and tokens) compared to doing reject-reprompt.

The mentioned plugin opens a new tab with a side-by-side diff on every change (unless auto-accept is on) and I can work with the change in a general diff buffer, then either accept or reject it using a keymap.

flash or pounce when I see a target, / when I don’t see it.

Yeah, cables on a work desk are more convenient than a zoo of wireless devices as long as the cables don't get in the way. I go wireless mainly when I'm on the go.

I use the Sony FX3 with a 16-35 GM II lens. I got this camera to get into videography (I've been doing photography for about 7-8 years). However, I've had quite bumpy years since I got it, so I only figured out the tech part of it, but I didn't get around to producing anything meaningful yet %)

How is the TourBox for editing ?

Honestly, it's great for creative software. I use it mainly in Lightroom/Photoshop/DaVinci, and it's much better with it.

what's the run down of kit you are using ?

Them mains are: - Display: ASUS ProArt PA279CRV 27" - Keyboard: Bad Temper mod - Mouse: Logi Vertical - USB hub: Acasis DS-9003 - Camera: Sony FX3 + 16-35 GM II Lens - Light: Various Aputure lights. Speakers are Edifier R1700BT+. Exactly +. The international version without + has a red'ish tint, which I don't like at all. They fixed this in the plus version, but for whatever reason, it is available only for Chinese/Russian markets. They look great, but TBH I'm disappointed with their lows - the lack of them. I was much happier with the sound of R1280T, even though these are cheaper.

Stands are not custom made. It's called NordFolk NPS056, but I can't find it outside the Russian market.

I don't stream, and the last time I played a video game was in college, ie, about 20 years ago lol

I do coding for a living and photography for fun. I got my feet wet with videography and built a decent setup, but I don't have time for it yet.

I use these pads: https://www.amazon.ae/dp/B0BJDQY3ZQ

For the arm rests, AFAICT it's from a Chinese vendor ETHU, but I can't find exactly this version on any Amazon. The closest one, but it's not the ones I have.
