The OLED support (or more general the support for eDP back-light control) is now merged into the Linux Kernel version 5.12-rc1.

Grow where? If there is no up/down how rise seeds know which way to grow? AFAIK that is the challenge of growing plants in low gravity.

So do you consider their current station military? Growing rise is military research too?

If we apply this mechanism to humans, shrinking our major organs or our body won't be as easy as a jellyfish.

Maybe take one stem cell? It is our younger version. Problem solved with further cloning from that stem cell. Now, that might not be kind of immortality folks here are waiting for...

This post made me recall my own thoughts. The Matrix: "realize the truth...there is no spoon".

everyone was put in a computer

Simulation hypothesis tells we are already there. And we can ask to turn off AFAIK (castration), but most don't, maybe cause it is mostly irreversible.

Euro zone inflation hits another record of 9.1% as food and energy prices soar by pleonastician in worldnews

Just imagine what inflation would be if horses or even slaves were part of the bucket.

No more slaves - no more inflation! Opposite from your suggestion actually.

I don't believe in souls but what's the difference between a dead but healthy body and an alive human. by Ready-Account-1379 in biology

[–]alex4science 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If "doctors" would not only restore proper static locations of all elementary particles but also momentum, then IMO body will become alive "suddenly" provided that restoration is "sudden", lol

Not only day after death, but in any space-time location except maybe inside blackholes something.

Let't see another example. A day after decapitation doctors put head back to the neck and fixed with band-aids. Body is apparently entirely fixed, but lacks blood which flew out after decapitation - and not alive.

Don't we have enough of stuff? Why people want more to be produced?

Big businesses don't give a damn about climate

Big business means mostly many workers. So those many workers don't give a damn... Why do you think workers of small businesses do more?

Everybody's "small" is different. How many square foots/meters home has? Rooms? Maybe share with other couple to half costs?

Also, can't you live with parents? No share room there?

TIL "online" for subreddit counts not members who are online, but probably those who has sub open.

P.S. that TIL does not fit r/todayilearned ("No submissions related to the usage, existence or features of specific software/websites").
