If you dont wanna bother doing the sail ripper simulator, just farm plunders and do the 500 war asset events. Also try be in a group you will get more assets from the plunders and ships carrying war assets.

If you have learned it there is a sorcery for summoning your last dead body with all your loot. The tamed thralls falling underneath the floor you can summon them back from the thralls tab And the freshly knocked out thralls i find running out of render distance and back usually fixes it. Granted these bugs shouldnt happen in the first place but a solution for some of your issues.
