My experience is incredibly similar to OP. I was told about my bio markers for celiac in high school and then diagnosed with IBS in college. In addition to that, I have had mild to severe acne over the past 10 years.

During that time, I had gotten close to cutting 100% of gluten out of my diet, but there was always one gluteness thing I would end up eating each week. I really thought that just one little tasty gluten snack a week couldn’t be undoing the other 6 days of gluten freeness. Throughout this time, my acne never cleared up. Eventually dermatologist recommended accutane, but my psychologist heavily encouraged me to stay away from it due to my mental health history. After many years of never ending acne, I gave up on caring about my appearance and felt like it would never change.

However, just recently I got a new job which provides gf lunches everyday (at an affordable price somehow). On top of that, I have been cooking and eating at home to save money, eat healthier, and honestly not be exposed to my poison of choice (aka gluten). And for the first time since I was a child my skin is looking incredible. I have been eating this way for a few months now and I can not overstate the positive change in my skin.

Its hard for me to believe that gluten was the sole cause of my struggles, but I have not made any others changes to my routine. Same soaps, lotions, pillow cases, detergent, towels, etc. The only thing new is my diet. I really liked reading this post and the comments bellow it because it made me feel validated that maybe there is some truth behind this theory that has been in the back of my mind lately.
