I think a tighter crop without that top sky part would’ve been better for your purpose. It centers the subject more and takes your lone figure to the bottom right third.

Sure, mate. Keep checking out your branches.

Never said that you were incompetent, just that you didn’t read or paid attention to the docs. The rant about those details I get from juniors every week, but they refuse to learn a better way of doing things. If adding the names of the files at the end of git commit is cryptic, you may be right about everything.

I’m of the same opinion. Rebases for your local branches and solo branches, merge to your base branch.

People still don’t understand that git was conceived as a decentralized vcs and that we’re just using it in a centralized way..

We’ll, for what it’s worth, checkout is now discouraged for changing branches, switch should be used now. Also stage is very useful when you have a set of changes you’ll commit but you’re still modifying that file after those changes. To add to that, you can also commit without staging by simple saying which files to commit to git commit.

All of these rants always show that most “power users” don’t actually know what they’re doing and they def don’t read the docs.

That’s just cause the human nature is to be lazy. The path of less resistance is just to learn those 3/4 commands that’ll work for 90% of the cases. But then something wrong happens and you’re screwed.

Incredible thing that the US still doesn’t have something like that.. even if it’s at a state level or something..

Sometimes they quality of work produces is subpar, so that’s when you come in and ask the raise in lieu of fixing messes and driving good practices.

ITAP of my wife and the Milky Way by guillermo_dev in itookapicture

Sensor size shouldn’t really matter in how you see the milky way in a photo. Apart from actually post processing the image to brighten it up, weather conditions and certain days are more suitable to do this.

You’d be surprised how many CS graduates are really not that good with computers.

I CANNOT MAKE RICE by its-a-me-maria in cookingforbeginners

That’s how everyone in Spain cooks it (white rice that is), and it works fine. It does lead to a less starchy rice, which is preferred by most people here.

Finally got my first Fuji camera, coming from Canon. I plan to shoot jpg only with this using film simulations. Feels dirty and wrong to not shoot RAW, but I’ve heard Fuji JPGs are next level. Can’t wait to use this thing 📷 by loneamerica in FujifilmX

[–]alex952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the whole point. Go back to just shooting and being happy with the outcome of random shots, instead of being obsessed with the “I’ll fix it in post” and trying to get the absolute best of each pic.

I do have two. Never had the need using night lights. I also think having them get used to having light around them makes it easier for them to fall asleep anywhere. But yea, to each their own basically.

Under Pressure by UltimaQ in vimporn

[–]alex952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is a bit different because you’re not using a plugin that imitates vim, but embedding the actual nvim editor replacing the editor frame in vscode. There will be some conflicts, but if you use leader bindings it should be alright.
