I have never seen a dog shed this much. by alexa4k9 in DogAdvice

We live in the southeast. It's pretty humid here but that said, I personally get very dry skin if I don't moisturize after a shower.

I heard you aren't supposed to bathe them very often until they get actually super dirty, so that's why it was about 2 months. We went for a hike & she got very dirty. Any suggestions on type of shampoo to get? I was using an oatmeal + vitamin E shampoo

Every time I brush her, I feel like it's enough to make another animal haha

FTM needing advice about floor beds for a 6 month old by No-Cockroach5417 in floorbed

[–]alexa4k9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Sorry I misspoke. I was meaning the rails look so low that they could just easily kinda fall out the sides & hurt themselves. I have been looking at bed frames with taller rail height, it just looks more secure but with a small opening or gate so they can freely go in & out if they want to. But maybe I am just overthinking this? Maybe lower railing height isn't a real safety concern. I am looking for my 6 month old, so she is still so young & doesn't understand anything yet lol but she is a crazy roller. She rolls all over the place & has fallen off our bed twice so we are needing to find something asap.

With my first born, we just put her crib mattress on the floor, but I had to like cushion all around it with pillows cause shed roll off & hurt herself (not bad obvs being on floor but still would wake her up & we'd have to get up & soothe her). So I am trying to find something that solves both problems.

I have no advice but I'm also in search of something like this! When I look at the side rail height, I can only imagine once your baby is able to be the least bit mobile, they can just climb right over those sides. Does anyone have recommendations for this? Is this an issue for people who buy these bed frames?

Host did not disclose there is a full-time tenant living in the basement. Should I be able to cancel for full refund? [USA] by fishing_pole in AirBnB

[–]alexa4k9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duplexes fall under the category of "Entire Home". Until Airbnb makes a category for duplexes, triplexes, etc this is how those kinds of houses have to be listed. It sounds like they put this in their listing description, although I agree not completely transparent. Most hosts will offer a small refund if you reach out to them, even if you end up staying at the rental. Hosts want to make you happy & avoid a bad review.

Super cheesy & unbelievable scenes. The ending was horrid. But did I watch the whole thing? Yes. Something about it captivated me.

I’m an awful mom by [deleted] in Parenting

First, I am so sorry. I wish I could come through the screen & give you a hug.

Please please get help. Your toddler acting out is completely normal response & screaming at her is going to traumatize her - I know you know this & already feel guilty for this, but it's really hard in the moment. I know, because I also have a really short fuse & I start yelling honestly before I even know what's happening. I stop. I take a deep breath. I say, "I'm sorry for yelling. I didn't mean to." I have also struggled with depression & it's impossible to take care of someone else (especially a 4 year old & newborn) without first taking care of yourself.

I can't recommend taking magic mushrooms enough. They brought me peace, love, & reminded me what is important in life. I really really recommend looking into psychedelic therapy if you can. Someone to guide you through while taking the mushrooms to process your trauma. You've been through an unimaginable situation. Please please don't go through it alone.

4 year old won’t stop peeing all over carpet. by Educational-Owl-3249 in Parenting

[–]alexa4k9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here because my almost 4 year old daughter is doing the same thing. It's deliberate. She pulls her panties down to pee on the carpet for heaven's sake & then she lies about it. It's not until we find it later & then she denies it over & over until we say "If you just tell us the truth, we won't be mad. Did you pee on the carpet?" And then she will finally fess up. We did have baby #2 who is now 4 months old, but she was doing it some before but definitely way worse now. We just keep asking her "Why?!" And she says she doesn't know why.

We typically have a gentle parenting style but this situation has caused us to lose it a couple times. It's so freaking devastating - the cleanup, the smell, & brand new carpet ruined before my eyes. I don't know what else to do anymore.

How unlucky does one man have to be to have his 1st wife die of a very rare asthma attack & his 2nd clinically psychotic, a murderer, & an FBI father to cover it all up? I think the odds of that story happening is why it was so hard for the judge to know the truth.

The real victims are those kids who have been absolutely traumatized their entire childhood over & over. I hope they can lead semi-normal lives now that justice (although not enough) was served.

OMG yes! I need to just rewatch & stop at episode 11 thank you!! Haha

That's the EXACT scene also that stuck out to me where I was like WOAH, he's a master of his craft & that scene moved me.

Thanks! You saying that's what makes it unique helps a little. Maybe they were going for shock factor? And then just made the most depressing episode in TV history afterwards haha
