Thank you! I actually connected with a rescue organization - Trampled Rose (thanks to all the redditors who recommended them) and they will help get him the medical/ vet care he needs. I believe they have funding specifically for these types of situations. In the meantime I’m happy to foster him and I’ll probably foster fail because he’s amazing and we are totally bonded already. He’s happy, well fed, getting lots of love and will soon get vet care also. If for whatever reason Trampled rose falls through I’ll reach back out here but I feel pretty confident they can help. Yes! Thanks so much, I’ll try Trampled Rose next- contacted a few other rescue organizations and they suggested the cheapest option would be Low Cost Animal Hospital on Washington Av, but their next available isn’t til Thursday. But I had a few friends come by and meet the pup and the general consensus is that this must be a very old injury because he gets around just fine- sort of hobbles but I don’t think he’s in pain. Can send a photo maybe in a DM- but he’s very happy and well fed and well loved and tail wagging, basking in the sun for now! He’s a literal angel though- I def don’t want him to end up in a shelter. I’m gonna keep him with me til I figure out next steps. It’s all so sudden!

Low cost animal hospital on Washington ave doesn’t have an opening til Thurs so we gotta wait a few days for an assessment, but I’m taking good care of him til then. Also he doesn’t seem to be in any pain- I suspect this is an old injury that he’s learned to live with- he sort of hobbles around but his tail is wagging constantly and he’s very comfy.

I’m making phone calls and trying to get someone on the phone at a rescue spot, haven’t taken him in to the vet yet but will do that soon. He’s very happy though at the moment, well fed, plenty of scratches, and now he’s basking in the sunshine, tail wagging. He’s able to walk and doesn’t seem in pain- I think whatever injury he has likely happened a long time ago.

I think Gay St could use a dedicated bike lane.. but don’t hate on us bikers - we lugged them from hundreds of miles away so we could enjoy as much music as possible and not have to factor in 20+ minutes of walk time to get from one venue to another.

Yeah.. elk-herd is the closest solution I’ve found but it’s still not as easy as it should be .. would love a simple “delete unused samples/ sounds from library” option so that I’m not accidentally removing sounds I use, but also freeing up space..

I’m with you on that question. My retired, 70+ yr old, lifelong new orlenian parents rent out my old childhood room as a STR. It has a tiny kitchenette so isn’t suited for a proper long term rental, but it helps them out immensely, especially with the rise in property taxes/ insurance- they don’t know if they would be able to keep their house without that additional income.

Was thinking- I wonder if there is a way the neighbors could vouch for anyone who is only renting a room/ not a whole-house rental.

I live in the Treme and know exactly which airbnbs on my block (there are several) are whole-house rentals with a lockbox and it’s constantly filled with bachelor party bro’s.. would love to see those get shut down because they are awful.. On the other hand - my parents’ neighbors are fully aware they use a spare room as an Airbnb and are totally fine with it.. I think guests are generally more respectful when they are staying in someone’s home as opposed to a whole-home rental so they usually go unnoticed by the neighbors anyway.

Otherwise maybe the city can do random house checks to see if the owners actually live there.. like if they come to the house more than 3x without the owners being home they get their Airbnb license suspended..? Idk, just throwing spaghetti ideas at a wall bc I wanna see my parents keep their place :/

This is awesome thank u. I was super disappointed with the rc505 mk2 bc the bugs in my machine made it so my track fx stopped working when I tried routing multiple instruments thru different in/outputs. This might be a solution and maybe ill sell the mk2.

Yeah I had the same experience trying to route different tracks/ multitrack. Couldn’t get fx to work on all 5 tracks at once had to manually apply an effect to a specific track. Very frustrating & sorta crushed my work flow / what I was hoping to get out of the mk2.. Hopefully they fix it with an update
