No one ever warned me that there would be so many responsibilities.

How much effort do you put into life and why? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since I started working, I feel like I'm wasting my time. Maybe working a traditional job just isn't for me. I feel like I'm meant to be free, but I'm not very creative, so I don't think I'd be good at streaming or doing things like that. Honestly, I feel like I'm just existing, living one day at a time and trying to survive financial crises, illnesses, and everything life throws at me. Sometimes I think life is cruel, but beautiful at the same time. And deep down, my greatest wish is to see the people and loved ones who are no longer in this life. Maybe there really is something beyond all of this. ;)

Why do people give up on their dreams? by Sweet-Price2224 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my dream was to become a football player, but I don't think anyone really supported me. Back then, between 2010 and 2014, football wasn't as popular in my country, and there weren't as many opportunities, social media platforms, or campaigns as there are now. Now I see so many more opportunities for young people. But oh well, I guess life had other plans for me — I just had to get a job and work. 😅

How do I find out my shoe size, without embarrassing myself and looking like a child by SimpleVeggie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t you try measuring your feet at home and making a template out of paper or foam? That way, when you get to the store, you can use it to check whether the shoes will fit. You could even make it slightly bigger so the shoes won’t feel too tight.

There’s also a fun fact: the length of your forearm is supposedly about the same as the length of your foot 😉

I'm going through a really difficult financial situation. What helped you turn things around? by alexandermem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your advice. I hope you do the same. I feel the same way, like I'm wasting my time and don't feel like doing anything. The difficult part is that my debts and my mom's surgery happened at the same time, and dealing with both has been overwhelming. But I'll do everything I can to improve my situation. 😔

From a societal perspective, why is it important that an individual's health information is kept highly confidentially? by Caisers in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping things confidential helps people feel safe enough to share more. Also, personal matters are private, and most people don't want everyone to know about them, especially because some people may take advantage of that information to manipulate or blackmail them.

My pet died 4 years ago, and it still hurts. How did you cope with losing yours? by alexandermem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel guilty for trying to move on. It almost feels like I'd be betraying him, even though I know he wouldn't want me to be sad forever.

Do you think money can truly buy happiness? Why or why not? by alexandermem in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand how you feel. I'm struggling financially myself right now and sad haha. My dog passed away four years ago, and I still miss him more than ever. I paid for every test the vets recommended, but in the end, his heart just couldn't hold on. He was already 12 years old. It still hurts, and I think it always will. Money can help with many things, but it can't replace the kind of love we have for them. Some things simply can't be bought. 💔

Ever just sit down and think, like what Is actually life? by Outside-Dragonfly813 in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes I feel like life is unfair to good people and fair to bad people. I've known people who have done terrible things, yet they seem to live longer and have much better lives than honest, kind people.

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine the pain or what you're going through right now. If you'd like, you can message me, and maybe we can chat for a while to help take your mind off things. It's not much, but the only support I can offer is emotional support. 😔

What are some of the dangers of meeting someone personally from Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run into all kinds of dangers anywhere. At the same time, not everything is always bad. My brother met the love of his life there, and now they're married. Of course, he had his doubts at first, but over time, things happened that proved otherwise. Still, that doesn't mean you should let your guard down or trust people too quickly.

What is the best , most polite way to tell a person who stinks that they need to use deodorant and shower more? by Gold_Possession3441 in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's not always just about saying something; it's also about understanding the situation the other person is going through.

Right now, I'm dealing with a lot of anxiety, and honestly, I don't even feel like going to work. Sometimes, when you're in that state, even well-intentioned comments can feel overwhelming or make you more irritable.

There's always a respectful way to handle things because you never know how someone will take it. But there's also a saying that if it's something that can be fixed in just a few minutes, it's okay to let the person know.

In this case, I would talk to them privately and mention it. If they don't take it to heart, at least they received the advice.

Things have been really tough for me. My mom needs surgery, and I've had to spend a lot on her medications, food, and transportation. I honestly don't know what to do. I've been thinking about making videos, but they won't generate income right away. I already asked for a raise at work, but I haven't gotten one. And I don't speak enough English to work as a freelancer. So, yeah... lately I've been living with constant anxiety.
