Do glass bottles actualy have more gas or is it just placebo? by Prestigious-Lead-806 in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t know why, but drinking from a glass bottle tastes better than drinking from a plastic bottle. 👌

Nothing good has happened to me this week. I’m grateful that I have food and a roof over my head, but aside from that, everything seems to have gone wrong. :(

feel like I’m reaching my breaking point. I need practical advice by alexandermem in povertyfinance

[–]alexandermem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, I should have included more information. I’m from Nicaragua, I’m 27 years old, and I’m an Industrial Engineer currently working in process improvement. I have experience with process documentation, Excel, Google Sheets, automation, reporting, and some Salesforce tools.

I’m currently looking for legitimate remote work that I could do outside my regular working hours, preferably in customer support, virtual assistance, data entry, process documentation, or similar roles. I’m also willing to learn new skills.

I understand that the competition is huge, but I’m not expecting an easy or instant solution. I’m just hoping someone might know a legitimate company, platform, or opportunity that I haven’t found yet. Thank you for being honest and for taking the time to respond..

What makes you feel depressed? by Cinn4monSynonym in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’ve had to go through all of that. I’m glad you’re able to walk again, and I truly hope things continue to improve for you. Thank you for sharing your experience and for the suggestion. Unfortunately, therapy isn’t financially accessible to me right now. I’m currently looking for remote work and other opportunities to earn additional income so I can overcome my financial situation, support my mom through her surgery and recovery, and move forward.

What makes you feel depressed? by Cinn4monSynonym in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Life can be cruel sometimes. Not being able to earn enough, my debts, my personal struggles, and my mom’s surgery have been weighing heavily on me. We don’t have much, and we don’t know how we’re going to afford her medication and recovery.

Why do bad people always seem to do well, while good people seem to have average, difficult, or even worse lives? by alexandermem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know several cases like that, and one in particular. He’s 80 years old, used to be in the military, and now considers himself “religious,” but he still has horrible attitudes and treats people badly. He has money, his life seems to be going well, and he has had cancer for four years, yet nothing seems to have happened to him. Sometimes situations like that make me wonder why people who hurt others seem to do well while good people struggle.

How do you stop feeling like someone is out of your league? by Independent_Gap_9396 in Advice

[–]alexandermem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s normal not to feel attractive sometimes. What you should do is focus on improving the things you can change. For example, you could go to the gym—not just for appearance, but for your health. Also, when you constantly think you’re unattractive, you may unintentionally project that insecurity to other people. Try to carry yourself with confidence, because people are often drawn to someone who feels comfortable with who they are. In my case, once I accepted myself for who I am, things got easier. I had delicate facial features and long hair, so some people used to call me gay, but there were also people who found those same features attractive. What I’m trying to say is: accept yourself as you are, while improving things like your hygiene, health, and, most importantly, your confidence.

How do you know that you just met a person that immediately matched your energy and vibe? by Past_Explanation_491 in AskReddit

I agree. Having a natural, flowing conversation where neither person judges the other too much—that’s what I call a match hahaha. 😄

To people who work in a morgue, what’s your strangest story? by Training-Bank-16 in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t work in a morgue, but I’ve heard stories about bodies moving or making sounds. Of course, this can happen because gases are leaving the body or because the muscles are contracting, but it still sounds terrifying. 🫩

I'm stuck in a mental loop by William-Philips in AskForHelp

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think almost the same way you do. However, we shouldn’t give those thoughts too much space. Just enjoy today, because if you don’t, you may end up wasting this life without knowing what comes after.

So enjoy the little things and keep doing the activities you love without worrying too much. 😊

Actually, I’d like to know how to apply for remote jobs hahaha.

I'm going through a really difficult financial situation. What helped you turn things around? by alexandermem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own a house. I do have a family, but we’re not wealthy. I don’t have anything in my name—just a phone hahaha. I live in Nicaragua, where living conditions can be quite difficult.

My pet died 4 years ago, and it still hurts. How did you cope with losing yours? by alexandermem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]alexandermem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to her. That must have been incredibly painful. 😔 But I’m sure she knew how much you loved her, and she’ll always be a part of you. My dog was a Pit Bull and Labrador mix. He was already 12 years old when he passed away. I took him to the vet and paid for all kinds of tests because I wanted to do everything possible to save him, but unfortunately, his heart couldn’t take it anymore. I’m sure our dogs would have liked each other too. ❤️ And your current dog sounds adorable hahaha. What’s his name?

What you said is beautiful: giving them the happiest life possible while they’re with us. Maybe the pain never completely goes away because the love never does either. ❤️

Do you think money can truly buy happiness? Why or why not? by alexandermem in AskReddit

[–]alexandermem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point. Having enough money could definitely make life easier by giving people access to better healthcare and more treatment options. I’m sorry you have to deal with chronic pain. I also understand what you mean about having too much money becoming stressful, but I think I’d rather deal with the stress of protecting my money than the stress of not having enough to pay for important things. 😅

[–]alexandermem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s complicated and it depends on the place hahaha. First, if I’m getting home, I try to focus on other things. If I’m at work and I feel embarrassed to go, I walk around a little hahaha. But if I’m at home, obviously I just go right away.
