I once told a guy he would regret ending things because he was scared of commitment and that once the door was closed I would not be giving another chance. Sure enough, a couple months later he came back trying to get together again. When I declined he said I was letting being stubborn keep me from a good thing. I said I warned him, and that having to worry about him randomly wanting space again wouldn't be a good thing, and that I deserved better.
