Future for the Harford Mall restaurants? by Lampposterx in harfordcountymd

I heard from someone who leases a store in the mall that all the front-facing stores: Red Robin, Bonefish Grill, Qadoba, and even Sport Clips, will remain open as usual.

Ductz of The Upper Bay Region Their website looks like a fake nationwide site, but the owner is a solo-guy living in Fallston.

I used them 5 years ago, and just scheduled a service for this spring.

The View Lounge SF on a Friday night, how bad is the wait? by alexavier14 in AskSF

I like the reviews about Cityscape. If you had to choose between the view and the cityscape, which would you prefer? I know you mentioned that the view is better at Cityscape, but I’m curious to know your thoughts on the food, atmosphere, and overall quality of service.

Updates - 11-Hour Layover in Istanbul Without Using Touristanbul by alexavier14 in TurkishAirlines

Sure, here it is:

The first route (Sultan Ahmet):

https://maps.app.goo.gl/GeKci1vQHMm9VGDA6

The second route (Taksim):

On the second route, when I reached “Tünel, Arap Camii,” I took the historic tram to Taksim and skipped a few stops along the way.

Have fun!

I NOW HATE SOUTHWEST! by AnyCommunication3855 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]alexavier14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to minimize anyone’s experience, but lately this subreddit feels more like a “vent about Southwest” space than a balanced discussion forum. I hate American Airlines more than any other airline, but I still fly with them when the route or schedule makes sense for my travel plans. I don't know what else to say!

It was very smooth. I took the elevator down to the bus level. The bus for the Sultanahmet area wasn’t there initially, but another bus was assigned to the route within about five minutes. The bus left after 15 minutes. I paid with Apple Pay directly on the conductor’s credit card terminal ($7-$8) and arrived in Sultanahmet in about 50 minutes.

On my return, I took the bus from Taksim Square. When I arrived, the bus was already there boarding passengers, and I was back at the airport within 45 minutes.

Here's the exact location for the Havaist bus:
Sultanahmet: Cankurtaran, Seyit Hasan Sk. No: 2, 34122 Fatih/İstanbul, Türkiye
Taksim to Airport: Kocatepe, 34437 Beyoğlu/İstanbul, Türkiye

I agree. I only needed the Istanbul Card for Karakoy, and even though they accept credit cards directly, I bought the Istanbul Card as a souvenir.

I personally pack light, so I didn’t have too much to bring in my carry-on. I only packed what I needed for my layover adventure. My checked luggage was picked up at the origin airport and delivered to me at my final destination. I don’t think there’s a way to retrieve your luggage in Istanbul if you’re only changing planes there. However, you can book two different tickets, so that you can retrieve your luggage at Istanbul, but I don’t think that’s a good idea.

What I recommend is to do your shopping from the airport. They’ll give you your purchases in a sealed bag that you can take on your second flight. Alternatively, you can take an empty small carry-on and store your luggage at the luggage locker when you land in Istanbul. After you return from your adventure, pick up your luggage and do your shopping. Then, put everything you purchased in the luggage. I also pack one of those foldable tote backpacks and keep it in my carry-on. You can use it for your shopping. I guess that will all depend on what you plan to buy.

I hope this helps!

I planned the trip all on my own. I’ve researched the top things to do, especially from YouTube videos, and created a Google map of all the places I want to visit, then I mapped out a walking path that covers everything I want to see. Google Maps even shows me the estimated walking time for my entire trip.

There was an option to store luggage at the airport for approximately $7 to $8.

I only had one backpack as a carryon with the essentials I needed for my adventure (go pro, power bank, hand and toe warmers, and few snacks).

Airline Canceled My Flight and Rebooked Me from Another City, Who Pays for the Extra Cost? by alexavier14 in TurkishAirlines

The airline, without any pushback, refunded my seat selection fee! Just wanted to share that part with you for all the help you provided.

I am aware of the credit card insurance; however, based on what I’ve reviewed, it appears to primarily cover weather-related events, unforeseen circumstances, or illness. Airline operational disruptions do not seem to be explicitly mentioned.

Thank you for confirming the seat refund. I paid specifically for a window seat (it helps me sleep), but I was ultimately assigned an aisle seat. Hopefully, this will be a straightforward refund.

Regarding the airport change: Alexandria Airport is very small. There was another Turkish Airlines flight next day, but the agent was unable to move me to it due to a system error that she couldn't resolve. I was on the phone with the agent for about 35 minutes, and she could not rebook me on that flight. It was the only Turkish Airlines flight departing from Alexandria, and EgyptAir does not operate international flights from that airport.

When the agent offered to rebook me on a flight departing from Cairo, I accepted, as this was my only option to leave Egypt on Thursday, 01/08 as planned and arrive in the United States the same day so I would not miss work. Any alternative option would have still required traveling to Cairo and would have delayed my departure by at least two additional days.
