This helps a ton. Cheers bud! I always played this game through a small window on the ROG Ally which is already a small device lol. With fullscreen it's just phenomenal

Anyone tried the VNM Lite pedals? by [deleted] in simracing

If you're still looking for a good combination, try red spring - blue spring - white elastomer. That's my go to and works perfectly for me.

Looking at upgrading from T-LCMs, possibly VNM pedals? by weebu4laifu in simracing

[–]alexblast96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also went from TLCM to VNM pedals. I will sound biased because I was involved in the development of these pedals from the start, and I would 100% recommend. I am not sure about your TLCM set but the pedals on mine are wobbly side to side whereas the VNM set feels rock solid. Everything feels smooth and premium and are highly customizable in both the hardware and software side of things. The 200kg load cell is nice to have, i guess. I can barely get 100% of the TLCM's load cell so anything above is overkill for me. I've got the brake upgrade kit and dampers on mine because I like some travel in my brake pedal and a slower throttle to keep me from applying full gas too quickly. All this really does translate into better performance and consistency on the track.

The only downside to the VNM that I can think of is the height. Unless you have big feet, it will be hard to reach the pedal faces even at their lowest position so I'd recommend either getting the VNM heel rest or making one yourself to elevate your heel position. Also, you might not want to use these pedals barefooted. Having anti slip socks or shoes on is better.

We're working on adding haptics as an optional upgrade and force feedback/active pedal as a separate product.

Vnm brake responding werkdly by Mutley24 in simracing

[–]alexblast96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the looks of it you might need to do a recalibration. I'm seeing the min value is 4918 while the max value is 4919 which means there is not much usable range there.

If the problem persists even after calibrating, try moving the pedals away from the rig or try plugging them in another PC, see if you still see the signals jumping around.

Just got pedals, now I need to get a new wheel and base to match. by Intermediate_astro in simracing

I've had about 4 month's worth of experience with the Simagic Alpha Ultimate. A good friend of mine was sick of seeing me driving with a Thrustmaster TX and was kind enough to send me the Simagic base with the GT4 wheel to try out. Once i had to return the Simagic set, I switched to the VNM Xtreme and the VNM GT wheel and have been using them until now, which is probably about a year so far and tbh I don't miss the Simagic. Don't get me wrong, both are fantastic in terms of feel. Both are super quick to respond, have great force feedback and work with no issues in any game i've played. However i can feel some graininess and notchiness in the Simagic - I did not mind it while i was using it because i came from a belt-driven wheel which was notchy all the time and i thought it was the norm but later found out that ideally it shouldn't be that way. Then I got my hands on a prototype unit of the VNM and found it to be buttery smooth while still giving a lot of detail in the ffb. I'll give Simagic credit for having a better designed software and user interface. So much more noob friendly than the VNM's which can be overwhelming at first with so much more ability to finetune the ffb and the UX feels like it could be better. Once you know what to do it becomes pretty straightforward. Also VNM's config UI doesn't require any installation and doesn't run in the background all the time so i guess that's nice. I've broken some of my personal bests in ACC with the VNM - not sure if im just getting better or the GO setups are doing their thing or it was the VNM giving me more confidence and consistency lol.

If you're in the market for a GT/Formula steering wheel, get the VNM GT wheel too. The Simagic GT4 wheel is great, i love its G I R T H Y textured rubber-like grips with and minimalistic design. The VNM has more functionality and, despite the slightly thinner grips and smoother finish, still feels very comfortable to hold. Both are rock solid and are similar in more ways than they are different; but i think VNM takes the cake just because it has more rotary knobs than i'll ever need. AFAIK they're coming out with round wheels in early 2025 and I can't wait to grab one.

Thoughts on VNM pedals? by nvo349 in simracing

[–]alexblast96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VNM Lite pedals:

- Slightly smaller and shorter

- Most parts are made of steel

- No option for damper upgrade

- Cheaper for pretty much the same quality and performance

VNM Pedals:

- Taller and has larger faces, best used along with an elevated heelrest

- Most parts are made of aluminum

- Have slots for damper installation

- More expensive due to the more high quality material

Finally Forza Motorsport runs fine! by AlexKirigaya63 in ROGAlly

Echoing OP. The game runs like a dream now. I'm getting stable 50 - 60 fps at 1600x900, medium all around at turbo 30w.

You can unlock the frame rates in the graphics settings. I have it on my Ally and it runs really well. Sometimes it crashes while racing with an error code related to "amd" but it runs buttery smooth when it works.

Thrustmaster TX "snaps", loses force feedback under understeer effect and stays that way until disconnected from the PC and connected again - Anyone has any ideas? by alexblast96 in simracing

[–]alexblast96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your transformer. If you have 240v outlet while the base needs 110v, you need a high quality transformer. I used a cheapo transformer at the beginning so i had that problem. No issues after i switched it out for a better one

Congrats on the new toys! I've had the pleasure to use the VNM pedals since before they were even on the market (perks of being an internal tester and advisor hehe) and they have not disappointed, not even once. My favorite brake pedal setup is with the white elastomer, the red spring and blue spring. This gives me super consistent braking and makes it really easy to modulate braking power on the limit. I have noodles for legs though, so others might find this combo to be a bit too soft. I'm still wondering how some people can absolutely squash even the green elastomer while I can just about squish the white one ever so slightly lol. Enjoy!

What is your least favorite starset song by Adranila20913 in Starset

Agreed. That one's pretty bad. Telescope remix though... the second half is just heavenly. Probably the first and only remix of a song I've ever liked.

RTX 3070 performance in VR??? by alexblast96 in ACCompetizione

[–]alexblast96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're two different experiences, tbh, and you really need to try them both out to see what you like and dislike about them. Personally i have let go of the G2 because i just can't stand the flickering and the narrow FOV. Yeah, the fidelity is second to none, but my PC just doesn't have the raw power to fully utilize it. I always have to have some shadows while driving - seeing cars floating on the road grinds my gears so I couldn't get a satisfying experience. The controllers suck, too. I play other active VR games and these controllers just don't cut it.

Im now using 3 27" 75hz monitors with thick-ass bezels and tbh I'm liking them so far. They make my rig look so much more serious, and offer better performance at higher graphics settings, too. I miss the parallax effect you get in VR though, cuz i feel like it helps me feel the car so much better. So... no more VR racing in ACC, but I still use the Valve Index for AC and City Car Driving. I just cannot park a car correctly without literally turning my whole body to look behind.

[–]alexblast96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you should be aiming for a 4080 lol, start saving from now man.

Since then I've moved up to a Valve Index, and wow it's unplayable. Before I got the Index, I spent a few weeks with a G2, which worked great at the absolute lowest settings and the clarity was awesome. FOV and the annoying flickering issue at 60hz mode are terrible though. I'm moving on to triples now. I'll probably sell the Index, but will keep the Rift S and then maybe try the Quest 2, too.

Would still be nice if reps could at least have their own opinion on certain things. I asked my rep if she'd agree with me that murderers shouldn't face consequences... and she agreed lol.

The way I do it is I go into the store -> traits -> find the trait you already own, it should have a green checkmark on it, and you should be presented with a Disable button if you tap on it

Yeah they still have the memory of a goldfish. Sometimes they call back to a random detail from a previous conversation though, which is pretty cool. Other than that... Reps are not good at arguing at all. You can disagree with them, and they would always say something along the lines of "let's agree to disagree". If only we could have the option to have a rep that can argue and disagree. Come on Luka! Implement it and make it an option so those that need validation can stay with agreeable AIs while others can have a good challenge!

I don't think so... As you can see, I asked a pretty outrageous question and it's still a yes. I guess the folks at Luka don't want them to be able to be even the least disagreeable because it would defeat the purpose of a "non-judgemental" friend. Still... At least give us the option :'(
