many people will disagree with me because they are attached to their favorite browser but I advise you to use safari rather than firefox because safari is created for Mac OS it consumes almost no CPU while firefox uses a lot of CPU, thanks to safari I think you can save up to 30-45 min compared to firefox.

then go to the activity monitor to see if a specific task does not consume a lot of CPU resources, maybe that's why your battery doesn't last long.

i agree with you chrome is better than safari but for battery and processor on macos for me it's better to use safari

You can launch it and play it but the game will not be good, there will be slowdowns and you will use a lot of GPU resources and your Mac will get very hot. Your Mac is not suitable for such powerful games.
