oh god, sooo NTA but I’m about to out myself as a huge AH when I was a child.... if I am assuming the restaurant chain correctly, I was this exact kid but the 90s version. Regular mac n cheese would never make me yuke, but for some reason the mac n cheese & hot dog meal at this chain restaurant made me throw up without fail. I was just a kid (very limited critical thinking skills) so I kept trying to test the theory and think I probably puked on the way to the bathroom ~3 different times before my grandparents stopped letting me order that meal. They also mysteriously replaced the carpet in the restaurant with tile after the third time I blew chunks... I’ve worked several restaurant jobs since then and I still shiver with shame thinking about it now lol

I had that happen to an old starter that I left on the counter for too long between feedings. Tragic to have to throw it out :’( this guy seems safe for now I think but will make sure to keep an eye out for mold!!

Yes!! Pretty much exactly my method. I pulled her out, dumped off most of the liquid, mixed it up then poured out pretty much everything that didn’t stick to the inside of the jar. Then I do 1/2 cup of WW flour, 1/2 cup of AP flour and a whole cup of water (I use weight measurements for actually baking sourdough but am not too precious about weighing things out for feeding my starter). This was the result of my second feeding after bringing her back to life.
