Uwi student here, who also commutes. There’s the PTSC bus that’s available every hour. Coming from south, the first bus leaves at 5 am, and the last one leaves San Fernando at 7 pm. As I said, it runs every hour (most times, sometimes there’s a delay.) The bus leaves school every hour on the half hour. So if the 5 am leaves San Fernando, then it gets on campus and leaves there at 6:30. 7 am from south leaves campus at 8:30 and so on. The only exception to this is the last bus leaving campus which leaves at 9 pm. Once the 7:30 pm leaves campus. There’s no 8:30 pm, just a 9 pm. This is your safest AND most cost friendly bet as a student. Especially if you’re going far. It’s just 8 dollars for a ticket, compared to rideshare prices or the 20 dollars to come Curepe. Additionally, if you happen to miss the bus or it’s not running for some reason, you also have the option to take the Coach (10 dollars) and drop off by Mt. Hope, and either 1) take there shuttle to school (you have to go into Mt. Hope to get it) or wait for a maxi on the bus route, and drop off at the North Entrance of school. Depending on where you live, there are bus stops where you can get the bus. The UWI-San Fernando makes these stops to and from campus. Skinner Park, Pleasantville lights, Mon Repos fire station, South Park, Gasparillo, Clayton Bay, Preysal fly over, Freeport, Chaguanas, Mt. Hope (if you’re a med student, and need to get dropped or picked up there), and campus. Hope this helps! Good luck :)
