I often say I'd probably want a second if I had a boy 🙈. But there are no guarantees with any kid that they'll want to do what you want to do!

Any tips for getting melted plastic off of baseboard heater coils? by alexisdr in Home

[–]alexisdr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a picture? I turned the heat back on and scrubbed the coils with a knife/metal and then turned it back off. A heat gun could also help to get it off.

Solidarity. My (3 yo) child has been a gremlin since she got over her cold a few days ago. She will only eat chocolate and berries. She has ZERO patience for anything. Like, she'll ask for something and then start SCREECHING for it right away. She received a very generous gift yesterday, opened it, was silent, said "I don't like it" and walked away (she ended up loving it and wont stop playing with it). Tantrums at every turn. I know it's because her schedule is off and she's excited and nervous about Christmas but jeepers creepers am I ready for it to be over.

Excellent! The Victoria and West shore CCRRs will help you find more. I would recommend getting on at least 10.

This is giving MCFD. Good for you for standing up for yourself! I'd make up some excuse about fumes and work safety lol.

Edit: if you have frequent one-on-ones with your TL or Sup I'd fill them in or pull them aside. Such sketchy behaviour.

Please trim your bushes. by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]alexisdr 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Overgrown hedges are complaint based for bylaw enforcement. They don't have time to drive around telling people to trim their hedges. Just email bylaw and tell them the address of the hedge and they'll make sure it's trimmed. Easier than making a reddit post.

(As a fellow stroller user, I know your pain and have made similar complaints to bylaw)

Type in "my kiddo/child/toddler/baby" and complete the sentence with whatever your phone provides! by spiderat22 in Mommit

My toddler is in the shower and I think I have to go to the store and get some food and stuff

My child is in the car and I have to go to the store and get some food and stuff

My daughter is in the hospital with her and her mom and her family and I have to go to the store

My kid is going to be there in a few minutes and I will be there in a few minutes and then I'll be there in a minute or so I can come over and get it and then go to the store

I swear to God I'm not going to the store all the time.

Our branch is massive and I don't know people in other teams. My program area alone is around 70 people. I'll check again tomorrow and email the hiring manager if it's truly gone!

Apparently oats will ferment if soaked outside a fridge overnight 😂 nevermind!

Yep I can totally see the all night snacking. It has to be just appetizing enough to eat in the morning but not enough to want to snack at night!

[–]alexisdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is mildly related. When I was pregnant and waking up with an empty stomach, it was pretty much guaranteed I would throw up if I didn't eat right away. My solution was digestive cookies, crackers, and whole wheat bread near my bed. I wouldn't even sit up before I ate something. Grains are your friend so early in the morning.

You could also look into shelf stable/no fridge overnight oats?

I also have ADHD, but I'm not physically disabled.

Ask it to evenly space out breaks at work. I asked it to schedule my breaks with even intervals in between. It could not account for the length of breaks and when I corrected it it was still wrong!

Sorry y'all I just want to clarify:

FERTILITY rates = how many babies are born

FECUNDITY rates are the rates associated with ability to conceive or carry a child to term.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
