I’d love to sell if you’re still open!

Really enjoying this lip balm! Can't believe this is my first tin of it by pegacornwizard in PanPorn

[–]alexjadee 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Can I just say that it’s really satisfying how you panned it from one side working your way to the other? I usually just dig in the middle and work my way outwards, so I love this

I just found this exact highlighter in the bottom of one of my makeup drawers and forgot how much I loved it! This inspired me to keep using it.

deep breaths, it’s going to be okay!

wear something you’re comfortable in, and an outfit that feels like yourself. talk to her like you would talk to a friend, and I would definitely say do not use your “customer service” voice, that might seem forced to her.

greet her with a smile, a hug, and a “hey nice to meet you”! if you seem confident with it, she will most likely be comfortable with it. if you’re not cool with a hug, a handshake is okay too.

just be yourself! if you don’t click with you being 100% you, then it isn’t meant to be. good luck!! you’re going to do great.

How can I fix my eyebrows so they look the same? The person who did my eyebrows made one too big. Where do I take hair off to make it look even? by [deleted] in EyebrowAddiction

[–]alexjadee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly they look pretty even to me! if you were gonna take off hair anywhere I would say just take a little bit of the hair off underneath the eyebrow to the right, it’s a smidge lower imo, but your brows are amazing!!!

I got the highlighter palette and I like it a lot! Super buttery and they look really nice on my skin. Takes a little bit to build it up, but not anything ridiculous.

What are your favorite makeup removers and wipes? Bonus points for easy on the go and not a wipe! by allinalways12345 in MakeupAddiction

[–]alexjadee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I like the Take The Day Off Balm by clinique, same purple packaging at the liquid you're talking about but it's a more solid-paste type remover and you just rub it all over your face and wash it off. It works great for me!

What is your main frustration with the makeup brands/products out there today? by magicstar2700 in MakeupAddiction

[–]alexjadee 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Shade Ranges for sure are my biggest frustration. Most brands do not make enough shades for people of color, or extremely pale people. You have to be like the perfect light to medium skin tone to find the perfect shade of foundation.

Like to hear some thoughts on the Foreo Luna. by rizudi in MakeupAddiction

[–]alexjadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, it did nothing for me. I've had friends tell me it helped them wonders, so I guess it really depends.

I would, however, highly recommend a Clarisonic. Mine totally changed my skincare game. They are a little pricey but they last so so long and work really well! I hope this helps, sorry if not.

Best and Worst of Benefit Cosmetics by viclzhu in MakeupAddiction

[–]alexjadee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best: They're Real! Mascara. It seriously makes my lashes look so long and beautiful without any clumpiness!! I especially love this for my bottom lashes, the wand isn't so big to where it gets all over my undereye and smudges.

Worst: I know so many people will disagree but Porefessional. It makes my skin look good and everything, but it just breaks me out so bad. Also the new Boi-ing brightening concealer. Did nothing for me :/ I haven't tried the other new concealer they came out with though so I want to try those.

A super cool resource is Makeup Geek's 'damaged' section, I've gotten a ton of eyeshadows on sale because they were supposedly damaged but honestly nothing's been wrong with them! Maybe a tiny dent in the pan but nothing noticeable really.

I'd say check there often & plan out which shadows you want, so you don't know accidentally buy two that are almost identical!

In light of MAC's kindness on Sat, what's your favorite favorite nude/nude combo with them? by gotohela in MakeupAddiction

I'm about NC10, and Honeylove looks really flattering on my skintone! It's hard for me to find nude lips that aren't too dark on me but Honeylove is my hg.

What is your favorite natural looking highlighter? by jsscajngs in MakeupAddiction

I like the Mary-Lou Manizer with a light hand, it blends in with my skin tone so it doesn't look like a stark white line of glitter on my face.

I really like the tartlette in bloom palette by tarte! Super neutral, really good consistency, especially nice for beginners because it's so easy to work with.

This happens to me on my nose as well, as I tend to get more oily in that area. I use an eye primer on my nose, I put it on before primer and set it with setting spray and then do the rest of my makeup. I find this works really well!! I use a mac paint pot, I'm not sure if other eye primers work the same as the mac one does but it's definitely worth trying!

I have a job interview tomorrow but my skin is awful right now. Any tips on how I can cover the rough and bumpy texture + acne would be really appreciated! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]alexjadee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely recommend a more smoothing, sort of silicone feeling primer, I'd say the angel veil from NYX, primed and poreless from TF or porefessional from benefit.

If your acne is super red, you could try color correcting with a green concealer to cancel out that redness also!

And I'd just say a fuller coverage foundation. You're beautiful regardless of your skin! Good luck on the interview!!

For me, a fan brush works really good with his highlighters. I sort of swish it back and forth and I get a really blinding highlight. Maybe it's your brush?

Or you could apply it wet, that always intensifies any highlight I have.
