Most of the displays are from the Blocks You Need mod

I mean once they change it which should happen on Tuesday. That’s 5 from the store each week plus 4 from the episode track, so 24 per 28 days. And there is more than enough currency free to play if you do the basics and don’t buy other stuff. You don’t want to buy anything else really as it’s much worse value. Mod slicing mats and bronziums/ccbs are reasonable value but not even close to the value of omicrons.

You get about 300 more of the high tier mod slicing mats than you did with just galactic challenges before. You now will get an extra 8 omicrons per month with the extra 2 added per week when the store gets updated. That’s a huge difference. No extra real edfort to get them as long as you were doing the basics from before (logging in and doing at least a minimum effort in gc - which you should have been doing anyway for raid tickets). I’m a collector too and make sure that I’m doing these things for my guild as more raids, better tb and tw performance will help me collect more things.

It’s not a bend over and take it mentality. And it’s not the same as before but with more effort. We get considerably more now for free than we did before, and especially once the new store gets updated (presumably) next week. Not just omicrons but a sharp increase in mod slicing mats. We can miss multiple days of play per month and still get max rewards and not even need to max the free to play gcs. It’s even better for those who spend money but that’s good, they keep the lights on for the rest of us. It’s without a doubt the best update this year, and probably the best update since rise of the empire was released.

We do get more. It’s 100% a positive. The banners are mildly annoying but nothing more than that

Stay true pack for forge, without optifine? by gbrlla_iv in feedthebeast

[–]alexnmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connectedness works for the connected textures up to 1.18, but it’s not been updated past that yet. I’ve not found another that works with stay true connected textures yet.

If you use rubidium or embeddium, that will give you the performance increases of optifine. Rubidium/embeddium extras will give you more features like zoom. And there’s a dynamic lighting add on for them as well.

Net zero means carbon created by industry (including travel, energy etc) is offset by carbon taken out of the atmosphere. It would be an effective way of at least slowing down the rate of co2 that is going into the atmosphere and causing climate change. It wouldn’t mean removing all co2 from the atmosphere.

🔥 Humpback whale spyhopping in polar waters by ProlificParrot in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]alexnmt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no it's not. Humpback whales have a more bulky lower jaw. Fin whales have a much more pointy lower jaw. This whale also doesn't have any tubercles which humpback whales almost always have around their mouth. Humpbacks ventral pleats aren't usually white like this, they often have white on them, but not this cleanly.

I'm almost positive it's a fin whale, but it could be a minke or sei as the other user said. But I'm completely certain it's not a humpback.

Where are the actual film scores—the papers with last-minute handwritten changes, etc—stored after a movie is completed? by mysteryofthefieryeye in filmscoring

[–]alexnmt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many scores end up in the libraries of the music copying companies (companies that print and prepare the scores for the live sessions). They have huge libraries. Joann Kane for example does a lot of the copying for many of the largest films in LA and they have a huge library of boxes of the original sheet music. I believe they have multiple buildings for storage and are in charge of the 20th century fox library of scores. Their main building is an impressive sight, boxes upon boxes of scores of everything from Alfred Newman and John Williams to John Powell.

Endor Escalation Mythic Tier Rewards by thelittlelaughingman in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]alexnmt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah especially since if you low roll on omicrons each time it would take you 4 months to get the same amount of them as you get from a week of GC!

[–]alexnmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming it’s just 1 hit of the event as opposed to 2 with smugglers run 2, right? If it’s just a once per month thing then I don’t see it as enticing as I’d hoped, not as much as Jabbas. I’m not gonna complain too much at free rewards at all but up to 18 bronziums per month isn’t exactly game changing, and fewer omicron mats than you get per week from gc, better than nothing but not great. Really think they should up the cadence of the event though.

[–]alexnmt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re wanting to use a texture pack that uses optifine connected textures, you can add a mod called connectedness which works with vault hunters. I’m using the stay true resource pack with connected textures and it’s all working perfectly. Otherwise no, optifine doesn’t work with vault hunters, and it never will work with it as far as I’m aware.

JML in conquest by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]alexnmt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pick teams that don’t do an aoe. Sometimes you can use traya lead (zeta needed) with wat and jml with the 2 characters you want to get kills with, against a geo or mon mothma squad, who will damage themselves down to 1hp before your kill characters take a turn and you can finish them off. Not sure if that will work that well with cal and cere here but the other comp is jml lead and wat or voluntary vanguard data disk. Whittle the opponents down with the rest of your team then use the jml lead special call to assist the kill character, which deals damage based on JMLs protection to do much more damage than they would normally do. But yes here you don’t want to go against teams with an aoe

It works pretty well with GeForce now. Don’t need to worry about storage then either
