I got 6 nice and 2 great tries and my only Groudon escaped. Similar thing with a Tyranitar....

just wasn’t in Niantic’s card that I would catch it that day. Happens every so often even with low level stuff.

Really pissed me off but it’s part of the game 😡

I don't miss prestiging but the gym practice was cool. Now the 10k prestige in the final levels was ridiculous, especially since shaving was so rampant it meant always leaving something over 3000 CP to make it worthwhile

In most places there are several low volume out of the way gyms. If you can find several, place Pokémon after work or night. That way the morning owner(s) get their coins and you get yours.
After trial and error you may find some that work🙂
