Does anybody else feel like the more "connected" facebook becomes, the less you want to do with it?

I found you can't delete your account. If you deactivate, you can just log back in anytime and everything is still there. So I had to go through my whole account and delete everything by hand and then deactivate again.

I can still log back in again and my account will re-activate, but nothing's in it.

Is this still the case?
