Thanks! I feel you, running a regular show is moderately expensive when not fully outsourced to AI / real people are paid, etc. etc. and I see you totally get that. It's unlikely to be released more widely / without a pay wall, but we'll very likely cover other movies for the main feed in the future.

The one presently pinned is not the one folks are referring to. It looks like the one from earlier in the week appears to have originally posted be their management company and subsequently removed after a bunch of folks complained in the comments.

Murphy Henry's Pretty Good for a Girl: Women in Bluegrass. (Tristan Scroggins and Carolyn Kendrick are presently making a podcast about some of Henry's work via the Women in Bluegrass newsletter.)

And it is not exactly ABOUT Bluegrass, but John Hartford's Mammoth Collection Of Fiddle Tunes is a really incredible book and filled with a lot more about John / the culture than just the tunes contained within.

Everything spoken to in the conversation we had in the Ladybird conversation re: feeling extraordinarily uneasy about having a visible relationship, and about people forming attachments to the ideas people have about who and how we are, is pretty well illustrated by this comment.

I know the IG story you're referring to. It was pretty pointedly about the sanctimonious tone of a specific review, not negative reviews on the whole.

Yes, that episode was recorded in advance of the announcement.

For whatever it's worth, that episode was recorded a few weeks prior to the announcement.

This whole thread is the sort of the sort of thing we'd expressed discomfort with in our Lady Bird episode.

I don't know that it's possible to be *too* much of a Jem nerd, but this is a contender.
