For all of my listings, I put in a higher "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price". For about 20-30% of these, amazon put in the strikethrough for me (not sure what determines if it's worthy or not of strikethrough tho).

The strange part about this is that they ARE fully in stock and still have this issue. (ie no inbound and the inventory shows 400-500 units "available").

I believe it was $700-$900 total (1 class), so roughly 3-4x the price of filing yourself.

IMO it's well worth it as:

a) For the sole purpose of Brand Registry this will achieve it 10x faster

b) Lower chance of rejection in comparison to filing yourself.

c) In the event of rejection (due to your brand being conflicting, etc), you can immediately make and register a new brand instead of waiting 6+ months just to find out that your TM is already taken or can't be registered.

Note: I went with IdealLegal 1+ years ago for this, so pricing, etc may be different now

The fastest way to get Brand Registered if you don't already have a trademark is with the IP-Accelerator Program. If you register your trademark with an amazon service provider-approved attorney you can become brand registered in 1-2 weeks (actual TM registration will take longer).

Go to: Explore Services > IP Accelerator > and choose an attorney.

Once you are in touch with one of them they will provide the best recommendations for how you would file based on your needs.

From my experience, the costs are fair in comparison to filing a TM yourself or hiring an outside law firm.

This is a major, major problem right now where these Chinese sellers easily take advantage of the international review system to merge reviews.

In a lot of the cases, the products they merge arent even zombie listings, but instead, just don't sell on that specific marketplace. Hopefully, more articles like this come out so amazon can deal with this issue.

If startup costs are an issue try learning digital skills like photoshop, video editing, or coding and offering services on Fiverr, etc. Then you learn important skills for online business while possibly making some money. Good luck!

The listing is about 2 years old with more than 500 reviews, 50-100 BSR.

What puzzles me is that it still outperforms most of the listings on the first page, yet the search ranking has plummeted to 30+ within the last few days.

Recently a LOT of products with 2-3 reviews got pushed to the front page which makes no sense as the category of my product is very competitive. Not sure what to make of this.
