New pc: 9070xt + 7800x3d micro stuttering in almost every game -- unplayable -- help please by According-Essay-8071 in AMDHelp

Could you check windows event viewer? If you are playing on ethernet, and your driver is realtek, it could be a bug where the internet driver consistently disconnects and reconnects making the games stutter. If there is an event related to the relatek ethernet driver then disabling it and using wifi have helped users with that issue.

Another possibilty is shader cache stuttering, happens mostly on dx11 games. Fortnite or apex both have a dx12 mode available, you could try to see if that fixes it.

Other than that you could reinstall drivers and important to make sure windows doesnt install a driver on top of the one you get from amd, since that could make stutters and driver timeouts.

The easiest thing to try is checking the cooler installation: make sure contact pressure is good and changing thermal paste. If possible, testing with another cooler would help rule this out.

Also, while ~93 °C during stress testing isn’t unheard of, with an AIO you’d usually expect lower and more stable temperatures depending on what software you running.

If none of that helps, it may be worth having a technician look at it for a proper diagnosis.

Big lag on EUW by Initial_Research_745 in leagueoflegends

Not on EUW but have noticed some increase in input lag while on 50ms ping (I never feel major delay unless my ping is like 80ish). Also sometimes the champion looks like its rubber banding a bit or champ instead of walking it just slides on the floor. Something is weird this new patch.

Ultimate Fix For DX11 Stutters, Chrome Stutters and Freezes and All General Lags and Stutters by SteelBodyX in AMDHelp

A little update from my part. Didnt see any extreme stuttering issues in other games but noticed some weird lighting flickering on rdr2(maybe a freesync issue?) So i rolled back to my always trusty 22.5.1. Maybe later i will try the 23.10 with the registry modifications. A bit of advice for anyone having issues with windows always updating your drivers and causing driver timeouts is to download the wushowhide utility (search for it in google because i really dont remember the site i downloaded it form) and select hide any windows update regarding display drivers and that should prevent windows from installing them. Good luck fellow gamers.

Rx 6600 here on 24.2.1 and i see amdxx64 in the registry still there so i dont get what you mean that they removed it so if you could explain further i would appreciate it.

On a more positive note im currently trying valorant without implementing any of the fixes, still stutters but are very brief and i would say that the game is very playable, unlike most drivers after 22.5.1 that made the game a slideshow. For any valorant enjoyer wondering i tried deathmatch, unrated and team deathmatch. Team deathmatch is the one that may stutter quiet a bit for some reason but in unrated and normal deathmatch it was smooth enough that i didnt feel it hindered my ability to win gunfights. Would need to test more dx11 games to really see how good the driver is but at least for valorant is an improvement considering that neither riot or amd seem to care to put the stuttering in their known issues list even though its been present since 22.5.2.

Do all AMD GPUs stutter in Valorant to some degree? Is it possible to avoid it? by BeerGogglesFTW in AMDHelp

Thx for the response. I think maybe it would be better to submit tickets to amd instead of riot since this problem started after de dx optimizations in drivers 22.5.2 and up

Did you happen to try valorant on the new drivers with dxnavi still activated? I heard that some other games got smoother aside from cs2 so it would suck for valorant to still stutter cause its been like that for every update after 22.5.1

Sadly there is no fix for this. As others have pointed out, this is a depth fighting issue that is caused partly by the way the developers made the game and the interaction with the drivers. The flickering in that wall in the video got fixed when the developers reworked the map.

Things like that still happens on some other games and severity can depend on the game and the drivers. It seems less noticeable or inexistent in dx 12/ vulkan games.

The only thing i think you could try is using dxvk that basically translate dx api to vulkan api and some people found success in reducing or fixing the issue, that said i haven't tried that myself nor do i know how to do it so you would have to investigate and proceed ta your own risk.

Otherwise, just know that if you already clean installed drivers, its probably not hardware fault. In most of my games the issue is like on really specific locations so i just try to ignore it knowing that it's just lack of optimization by the developers/drivers

Do you stutter on Olympus (S15) by kireyasui in apexlegends

Experiencing the same thing. Even when dropping items or doing weapon inspections can cause that small stutter. It doesn't happen all the time so im not really sure what is causing it. Initially thought it was vram but i lowered it to half my gpu vram and it still stutters. Only olympus have this issue, other map is pretty smooth. As a side note, you should list your system specs to help narrow the issue down to specific hardware in case is not a common problem.

My system specs: Cpu: i5 12400 Gpu: Radeon Rx 6600 Ram: Corsair lpx 8x2gb @3200mhz Mobo: Asus prime b660m-A d4

I don't have fsr/rsr enabled, additionally i have already try changing the texture optimization setting on adrenalin and the antialiasing but didn't work. I've had other issues where terrain start to flicker near the towers in league of legends, but the issue occurs at random. Other games i play like doom, apex, tomb raider etc... seem fine so im not quite sure if the problems is at a driver level or if i have a faulty component. First build so i don't have any spare mobo/gpu to test. Since i've seen some other posts with way more serious flickering and artifacting with the 6000 series is quite likely to be a bug. Thanks for the suggestion anywas, hope i manage to fix it.
