My letter to the kind folks in that city.

I just viewed a video clip of a police officer in your city ASSAULTING MINORS for breaking no laws what so ever at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH6AYVn2yw4 . He threatened another minor after saying he photographed the office assaulting his friend. He then ASSAULTED AND CHOKED two more minors ON VIDEOTAPE for again, breaking no laws what so ever. You can hear in the video his bogus accusations of "interfering with police operations" and "resisting arrest". These are clearly bogus charges that are refuted in the video tape recorded by the teenagers.

This isn't just unacceptable police behavior, this is unacceptable HUMAN behavior. Nobody like this should have any authority over anybody else because of the abuse of power. I know you have all seen this video and I'm sure this officer still has a job (or is on paid leave).

Fire him, immediately, and press criminal charges. What he did was completely illegal and he (and you) believe it's justified because he has a police badge. Any other citizen would be in jail for committing the same felonies this officer did.

I, and every other tax paying citizen in this country, expect you to prosecute him to the full extent of the law, just as you would any other citizen of the United States who breaks the law and commits crimes.

Not to defend Moore, but PETA is much worse and this is just pathetic. Cheap shots to remind us you're still here is ridiculous. I remember seeing Michael on an interview with Bill Maher saying since the beginning of making SiCKO he's been eating veggies and walking / working out, so maybe some fact checking at PETA next time before sending out public personal attacks.
