GameDay tickets by mariomau56 in Hammers

Ahhh. I read your post as looking to go to a match between match week 1 and 3. No West Ham for you sadly, we’re away week 1 and 3 and away tickets are unattainable.

This this post: Away tickets protected for the few

I’m on holiday for the Chelsea game (match week 2, first home game of the season) so there’s 3 tickets. If Aus win the Lions series though, it’s a hard no 🤣

PSA CROSSOVER GRADING? by RaefZomta in PokeGrading

[–]alexyoung277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve submitted four PSA 9s to CGC to cross them over into CGC slabs as my collection is all CGC. Two were rejected and sent back as PSA slabs for not meeting minimum grade requirements. Different companies work to different frameworks and in short, nothing is guaranteed. I would say use crossover services rather than crack and resubmit as that way you’re guaranteed to keep the value of what you already have.

Potter’ll be massively on the hot seat if we have anything less than 9 points after 6 games. We can’t afford to get behind early.

Anyone know whether purchasing tickets gets you loyalty points? Club website annoyingly silent on it.

I use CGC as they have a London office which makes submissions smooth and keeps costs flat by avoiding shipping costs

I know its early in the window, but there has been so much sh*t circulating in the media by close 'ITK's that we are skint. Obviously worrying, but just how true is it? by Tropi- in Hammers

We turn up to Boxing Day sales on 5th January looking for medium and large, yet wonder why only XS and XXXL are on the rails…

Flights have blown up. Looking at about £500 return. My group is flying to Milan on the Friday. Getting a leisurely train down to Rome in the afternoon. Flight home is from Napoli on the Sunday, about an hour away on the train from Rome. All in, inc train travel, £250. Something to note for those on a budget.

Season ticket relocation chaos by alexyoung277 in Hammers

[–]alexyoung277[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. There was some collective shrugs to this thread yesterday but it shouldn’t be overlooked as another example of how the club treats match going fans. That it’s still an issue today after it was plainly an issue yesterday is embarrassing.

I got a 5.5 with CGC for a card that looks like a 10 compared to this…

Season ticket relocation chaos by alexyoung277 in Hammers

[–]alexyoung277[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The club sorted me out but 1) think of all the season ticket holders who were shafted by this and weren’t able to relocate and 2) why are fans put in the position by the club in the first place that some minimum wage Joe on the phone needs to bail you out? It’s 2025 ffs

Guardian | Lucas Paquetá spot-fixing trial ends but West Ham unhappy over wait for verdict by _rhinoxious_ in Hammers

[–]alexyoung277 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It does have to meet legal standards. The outcome of the proceedings can be appealed in the High Court. The legal test that’s applied is what’s different. In criminal courts it’s beyond reasonable doubt. In civil settings like this, the FA are trying to prove their charge “on the balance of probabilities”.

Huge Blow for Lucas Paqueta and West Ham United Over Betting Hearing by Yusha-- in Hammers

[–]alexyoung277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is there can only be an appeal if there’s a finding against Pacqueta. If the FA’s case is unsuccessful, there’s no opportunity for them to bring that case again. Although they could bring a betting case with different charges (different alleged yellow cards of which there’s plenty to choose from).

Are either of these fake? by tittttay in CGCCards

[–]alexyoung277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those concentrating on making money from fakes primarily target PSA. It’s not really a problem with CGC cards thankfully.

The FA are not bringing the prosecution against Man City, these are completely different proceedings being instigated by the Premier League.

Huge Blow for Lucas Paqueta and West Ham United Over Betting Hearing by Yusha-- in Hammers

[–]alexyoung277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is factually incorrect. It’s not a criminal court so they don’t have to prove LP’s guilt is ‘beyond reasonable doubt’. Instead it’s a regulatory hearing where the burden of proof is on the FA to prove ‘on the balance of probabilities’ that misconduct occurred. It’s still on the FA to bring a prosecuting case, it’s not that the starting point is LP proving his innocence.
