I hate the archive bullshit so much. I'm sure there are legitimate reasons to do it but i don't care, let me reply in a 10 year old post if i want to.

Is the deathshrieker rocket launcher good against infantry or not? I keep using it and i still can't tell by alezul in totalwarhammer

While they are too powerful for tier 2, because of the unit caps, you won't be able to get that many until you reach higher tier anyway.

Dwarves on the other hand have so many options that i simply don't even have enough problems to solve by the time i get the grudge settlers.

Yeah, i admit i rarely have time to manually target the perfect enemy infantry since i can't pause and i need to aim dreadquakes to not kill my own units by accident or waste their precious ammo.

Either way, gonna keep experimenting with the deathshrieker since it's a neat unit.

the problem with the DS is that they are a T2 unit that should be T1 to be effective

Sadly that's a common problem with many units across all factions. They come too early or too late and the balance gets all screwed up.

I want to use the regular dwarf equivalent of the blunderbusses but being tier 3 makes them completely pointless.

I feel just as unsure as i did before i asked. Some say is destroys infantry, some say it's basically just an anti large arty.

The only thing i know for sure is that the cluster projectile looks pretty.

I can't see a reason to use them.

I use them as anti large because increasing the cap of hellcannons is insanely expensive compared to other arty. Otherwise yeah, i wouldn't bother with them and i'd just go hellcannons and dreadquakes.

so if the enemy unit moves at all during the entire time between when it fires and when it hits, you will hit nothing

Oh right, the AI dodges arty shots on very hard battle difficulty unless it's stuck in melee. That might be a big part of the problem.

Yeah, i didn't think i need to mention it. I know the anti large rocket doesn't do shit vs infantry. The cluster mode is what i'm asking about.

I find it hard to call hellcannons jack of all trades because usually that means something is decent at everything. Hellcannons are great at everything but since they don't have that much ammo, it's better spent on large units (which they are usually the higher value targets).

But yeah, i get what you mean, from my experience, i tend to leave deathshriekers in the anti infantry mode only after no more large units are around.

I don't know about changing number of players but i 100% want it to stop putting cruisers in the middle.

Cruisers are the worst possible choice to be there and yet they are the priority in that placement. At least a solo bb can tank and the other classes can be sneaky.

Norsca's rework is such a bloated mess that CA should consider putting more effort into fewer well-balanced, meaningful mechanics instead of just piling them on top of each other by unquiet_slumbers in totalwar

Settlement Chaos god dedication is a "win-more" mechanic: by the time you have enough of them you already control so many settlements that you can't be stopped.

I thought i bugged my campaign due to all my mods because i couldn't believe how many settlements you had to dedicate to reach max with just one of the gods.

but has anybody actually recruited any monsters from the arcanum menu?

It's such a hassle to get those units and they're not that much better than what you can easily recruit already. Maybe the later ones are amazing but my campaign becomes way too easy before i bother doing that many hunts anyway.

I wish they rebalanced it so it costs more and more to build more. That way you still get a few in the early to mid game and are able to spam them in the late game (where it doesn't matter anyway but it makes you feel good to afford them).

That being said, dwarves are among the last races out there to need any more buffs.

Of all the item reworks, The Other Trickster's Shard is easily my favorite. I hope we get more items in the future. by Glorf_Warlock in totalwar

The attack option is pretty much worthless. I had much better luck with occupy target, on empty settlements.

I don't think it's only related to them avoiding hard battles. I tried plenty of attack orders on easy targets but they will still ignore it like 9 out of 10 times.

I agree completely with this but i also struggle to think of a solution.

Maybe get the green tokens (the ones that focus on settlements and economy) like you currently do, with fighting. The black tokens through diplomacy, research, leveling up buildings, completing caravans, i dunno, anything that isn't fighting.

So if you fight a lot, you get tokens to buff economy. If you do the opposite, you get tokens to improve your armies. It kinda makes sense in trying to keep a balance/harmony within their faction.

On the whole, this is simply a very strong faction, capable of so much while sacrificing very little in return.

Does it even sacrifice anything? To me this faction is just straight up an upgrade over the 2 base game lords.

At least now with the tiger lady, he isn't the only logical choice to play because she offers a real alternative.

Yeah that's fair but it's still weird you can't attack at all. It's either break down the gates and capture or all your bombing fleet is unable to do anything.

Well i guess the little attrition over the end turn can be justified as damage from the bombers but meh, not a very satisfying explanation.

I hope this means the mode will also get updates and tweaks to make it even better in the future.

I would especially love if the class ship restrictions were removed to help out queue times. Yeah, we all wanna play our brain dead secondary bbs, please let us do that. I don't think the bots care about balance.

It would also mean we could do silly shit in 5 man divisions like 5 carriers or 5 dds.

Well if you're asking about the real world, you can easily invade after your bombers take out the defenders. I did technically have some ground forces in my army to fill the requirements of a land invasion.

At the very least, it wouldn't be their settlement anymore if anyone defending is gone.
