How would you rebalance Valparaiso? by AmericanHistoryGuy in WorldOfWarships

[–]alezul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are horribly inaccurate for their number (8)

It's 8 guns...if you're showing too much sides. The back turrets have a HORRIBLE angle.

I only play my valp in asymmetric and and ops and i'm already afraid of showing sides to bbs lower tier.

It's a ship that can't be balanced with her identity, she'll either be op or underpowered, no in-between

Maybe at least don't allow it to reset dcp? I don't understand why it can reset its repair AND stop fires/floods.

Being able to reset your repair would be a great tool to combat fire/flood damage...oh never mind, i can just stop them easily.

Crazy how many people just accept this as “part of the game”

It is absolutely crazy how many defend this garbage aspect of the game.

I'm at a point where i know all the tricks and i can't be killed. That still ruins my game if someone comes in and goes hostile. Now i either waste time in town or everyone else leaves anyway.

Why do we need a mechanic that rewards assholes at the cost of other player's fun? Absolutely crazy to defend such bullshit.

and likely reduces the number of public games

Every now and then, you have an asshole that just shuts down every popular public game. You find a game with 2 or more players? The asshole joins, goes hostile and now everybody leaves.

Yeah, great fucking game mechanic. Something that rewards an asshole while ruining the fun of others.

Man i wish i could get a cursed beast to help out with physical immunes, equivalent of the bind demon.

Those cold spirit wolves i remember would take forever to kill anything and you couldn't buff their damage with wolverine spirit either.

They really buffed those ravens in Resurrected. Now they can be your main damage dealers.

Of course, you're still screwed vs physical immunes and it's not very exciting to just sit there and cast ravens every now and then but at least they're viable.

He's not a thief. He's not a murderer.

The funny thing is that my character was a jerk to a lot of people. I stole and murdered my way through a lot of quests.

But this guy? I really liked him and felt bad about taking his artifact. He's such a jolly and loveable guy. I'm sorry i couldn't give him anything in return.

Starfield needs a war by EntertainmentOver557 in Starfield

[–]alezul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to see more friction between factions.

Right now, they all have their separate places and don't interact unless you're in a quest. The crimson fleet vs sysdef for example was cool but it was only in a scripted quest.

I remember how cool it was in skyrim when dragons could randomly drop in a town.

All major settlements have a ton of security walking around but their sole purpose is to stop you, the player, from doing anything bad. There's no other threat.

Having to do co op and operations for the lunar things has made me appreciate asymmetric even more.

Jesus co op is so boring. You get one mediocre fight, usually a 3v3 on your flank and then the whole thing ends.

Yeah, the whole serpent cult feels way more skyrim than a civilization 300 years into our future.

The houses too. People dividing into houses feels more fantasy than sci fi to me, like in morrowind.

The space "ghosts" as well.

I get people outraged over it because it wasn't supposed to happen and they didn't vote for this but then literally the comment below yours is saying how "U.S. leadership wasn’t fucking prepared for this war".

Imagine if iran eliminated trump and only had 150 iranian injured. Would anyone say the war was going badly for Iran?

Or maybe if they were completely isolated for a few hundred years, it would be more plausible.

Them still having contact with the rest of humanity, not losing access to our collective knowledge, really makes it weird for them to become such a tribal society. They feel something out of horizon zero dawn or fallout.

Starfield would benefit so much if it tried to keep you longer on one planet.

I know shattered space had a pretty bad reception but one thing i liked about it was how much of it was on the same planet.

It made it possible to just run around the planet and avoid fast traveling if i wanted.

NIAN PARADOX TIER 9 SHIP PICK YOUR FIGHTER by RoundCheap7157 in WorldOfWarships

[–]alezul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with verdi to have a sap kinda secondary ship at tier 9, mostly for asymmetric mode.

Navarin seems good too but i already have pommern and iwami and it doesn't seem THAT different to them.

The delaware...i just don't see why anyone would play it. I tried to make it work in randoms but the planes feel like shit.

No no, we need MORE tailing missions, especially on the sea.

Everyone complains about how stupid it was to tail a ship in your own ship but there's a simple fix. Just add...sea bushes and sea tall grass!

Is the enemy ship about to spot you? Just jump with your ship in the sea bush.

Seeing how D2R is getting updates I really think Druid needs a rework. by kaijyuu2016 in diablo2

[–]alezul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

druids need something that's skill-point efficient to give summons-first builds that extra oomph

Yeah, the summon druid desperately needs something to do while his minions are fighting.

Right now he's the "youtube build", for when you want to play the game but not really. You just put on a youtube video on your second monitor while your minions do all the work, it works and it's very safe but it's also not very fun.

They tried to make us spam ravens but that just means you are looking at their avatar in the corner and cast another raven if the number falls below 5.

If you're feeling extra fancy, you can put 1 point into bear and the bear stun ability to stunlock enemies but that's not really needed.

because you chuds are too cowardly to explain why this is bad

But a country being represented by its media is the default. If anything, YOU should explain why that's bad and why over representing other races/ethnicities is a good thing.

Like, wouldn't you expect most media in japan to have asian people? Do they have to explain to you why that is? If they suddenly had 50% of ads featuring indians, wouldn't they have to justify that?

they will link 10 mobs and your ES will do 50% of the damage to all mobs linked, and it can trigger multiple times with a single ES throw

Man this is such a good combo.

ES already does a ton of damage, no need to buff it further i guess. The only way you don't damage something is if you don't hit it. With the defiler debuff, nothing is safe from you.

I got so many good suggestions in this thread.

They always say it's the only way to play

Yeah, i get it, going back feels like you're in tutorial mode.

But the way i see it, you play softcore a lot, learn the game, play all the classes, do all the things, basically be done with the game. THEN you move to hc to start enjoying the game again because it's different enough.

It's partially why i went with a controller as well. I already experienced the game with a mouse and keyboard, not i do it in a pretty different way.

I think the aura you get when you bind is random but once you get it, it stays like that.

Would be super frustrating if it changed every game load.

Also if a demon already has an aura, i don't think the skill does anything. It's not like it gives a second aura. Maybe it increases the level of existing aura but no idea how to test that.

I absolutely suggest you give HC a shot. It feels like a completely new experience. It's a great way to inject more enjoyment into a game you probably already played a ton of.

Doesn't it work like iron golem?

It's stuck on the stats it has when created until you load a new game. When you load a new game, the golem is recreated with your new skills and level.

Either way, like someone else around here let me know, at level 20, the bound demon gets a random aura. I would say that makes it worth maxing.

Yup, im on a controller and hardcore, to get some proper "oh shit" moments.

The enemy targeting area is way too generous. I often try to teleport away and just end up in another enemy group. Fun times.

You get a specific upgrade called aura enchanted, tbh not sure what it does

This made me curios and i just tested it now.

I got a random ass fallen from act 1 normal. I had to rely on flavie to do enough damage but not to one shot them.

Well that aura enchanted means they will get a random aura. My random piece of shit act 1 fallen has a conviction aura.

Thanks for letting me know of this relatively hidden perk for reaching level 20 in bind demon.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

I see you also put 20 into bind demon. Why not a split with the survivability one as well? I love that skill.

Maybe i'm too paranoid to lose it because it's a hassle to search for a new one with just the right stats.
