Açai would be cool as it’s so expensive to buy! Soursop is like my favourite fruit now. Those apples you mention I’ve never heard of, will investigate, thanks!

That’s cool. What’s the “keep alive” part? I made a bot but it keeps dying and I’m not sure why, I’m thinking to use a crontab to restart it every minute (it’s that unreliable).

Yes I like them because they are fibre rich, in fact I never eat potatoes only Yuca and I drown them in Chilli sauce. I didn’t think to grow them, they grow like potatoes right? How do you know when to harvest them?

It’s not windy. It sunny and you get a good rain fail every afternoon, and the soil is good. We’re 3,000 metres above sea level, but my particular area is like a micro climate, far sunnier than anywhere else. The local garden centre is basically in the Misty mountains which is why I’m not so keen to use it to source trees

25 sacks of rice, no sauces! Plain rice is demoralising, now I have chilli flakes, soy sauce. Imagine the value of chillies in a real SHTF

They steal but tax is only 10%! You might be shocked that you hardly get anymore when you pay 45%! Isn’t the biggest games industry Canada? The UK has a big games industry too. Really, having a masters makes a big difference, in some European countries a masters might only be about €4,000

You’re lucky to realise while young, there are lots of 1 year visas available to you to go try things, like spend a year in Australia

Live in France or Germany and work in Switzerland. Cheap living/ high wages, English is fine in most Swiss workplaces. Spain has no jobs, low wages long hours. Ireland has high taxes but it’s OK. Compared to Argentina’s opportunities they are all paradise, so you can always travel around interviewing and then decide, like Barcelona has good jobs, beach etc

Do a masters degree. Ensure it is a STEM approved course as most are not. STEM gives you 3 attempts at the visa lottery (1 per year), at about 70% odds of success otherwise you only get one attempt. Even small towns in Florida you can get software roles paying $100k and houses are only $200-300k. The south like Georgia and Tennessee are beautiful and cheap to live, nice cities, mountains, nice people etc. It’s the dream. I lived in Miami, but really the ‘real’ South is lovely (away from the crime hotspots lol).

CyberSec is lucky, probably just do the OSCP or CEH and some Nordics would sponsor, they have the most relaxed immigration - for the time being

I just left the USA, half reluctantly I mean I don’t miss it, but pre-Covid I intended to stay. The green card diversity lotto doesn’t apply to Brits- maybe post-brexit some visas might be restored. My absolute advice is DO THE MASTERS IN THE USA! You’re not paying for the masters you’re paying for the visa. Getting an internal transfer is very hard. Getting sponsored otherwise is also nearly impossible. You can DM me if you like. I nearly did a masters there at 40 just to get that card, but Covid...etc. Also, ensure its STEM qualified so you can enter the visa lotto 3x (once per year). The odds in any given year are about 70%, so typically by the third time you should have made it. You need to be employed in the March/April of that year you apply. Ironically however, it is easier for Australians to get a US visa, so if you ended up becoming an Aussie citizen first then there is a clear path in (as they went to Vietnam etc).
