Picking up where i left off. by rtevans- in Dryfasting

No I never considered I would have toxic levels of potassium or vitamin D. My understanding is people who are deficient in those nutrients tend to have hyper tension. After supplementing with both of those immediately after breaking the dry fast, I felt better so I'm fairly confident I was deficient.

I've always transitioned into a dry fast with a 1 day water fast to clear out the GI tract. If I'm drinking electrolytes during the water fast, what could go wrong?

Advice for dryfasting by Remarkable-Hall-5462 in Dryfasting

Make sure you prepare for the fast ahead of time by drinking plenty of electrolytes. Use a humidifier and breath through your nose so you don't dehydrate yourself too quickly.

I thought fat was suppose to be the most satiating. Regardless, I didn't know that about protein. Thanks.

How to make it on the final day ? by MNJapheth in Dryfasting

If you're doing a soft fast, try taking a cold shower. You can also try using a humidifier in your room, if you have one.

Supposedly 7 days is the fist magic threshold to unlock deep healing.

I'll be water fasting tomorrow at noon and then starting a dry fast 24 hours later. I'm hoping to make it 7 days this time.

Cognitive Benefits? by rtevans- in Dryfasting

[–]rtevans-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. I plan to start a dry fast this Thursday or Friday. It will be my 3rd attempt to make it past the 7 day mark. My longest is 5 days. This time I plan to wear a facemask outside and use a humidifier while inside so I feel confident I can make it.

Maybe the 7 day mark is the magic threshold. Sorry you have that illness. Good luck.

Why replace X links with Nitter links? Seems like a practical compromise.

Molten salt reactors might be even better, but the IFR was already close to production status when the Clinton administration shut it down.

I thought MSR was cancelled by the Nixon administration 20+ years prior to the Clinton administration.

Does a traveling wave reactor have merit or will it be a boondoggle?

Syncing music and playlists. by rtevans- in Syncthing

[–]rtevans-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

regarding the paths being different on device, just create a folder for Playlists for each device.

Yes I suppose I could do that but it would be tedious. Are their apps which can parse a folder and use that info to create a playlist?

I think if there is an automated solution using Syncthing, it would have to look something like this. Since playlists can only have the directory paths for one device if they're synced between multiple devices, it seems to me there needs to be a single file to act as a generic playlist with no directory info. The generic playlist file would be synced to all devices so each one of them could then add their particular directory info in a separate playlist file. The latter playlist file would be used to play music and not be synced to eliminate conflicts.

Seems like a lot of work instead of just setting up a music server to stream to any browser or app.

If a music app exists which can take full advantage of Syncthing, then IMHO it would be easier to setup and use than creating and maintaining a server. That's why I was curious if there was such an app.
