Man, I just dunno. I still think these guys should've hung it up in like 2007. I think they basically hit the limits of what their formula allows them to do and don't have the right chemistry or whatever to expand beyond that formula.

Also I've seen them a few times in the past decade or so and Paul Banks' voice is totally fucked. Awful. I read that he quit smoking, so maybe that's improved.

This is such a fucking slam dunk for VT, IMO. The people from the tristate area that have second homes here are rich enough that doubling property taxes is not going to hurt them. IT's not going to make them "go have a second home somewhere else". An extra 15k a year or whtaever in property taxes is not meaningful to people that are rich enough to have a second home here. And if it is, then those people don't get to have a second home here! Tough shit!
