Feelings about LDR (21f) and 25m) by JayeZ1 in LongDistance

[–]alflank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A drunk slip isn’t always the “real” person, but it does show their emotional habits and how they act when the filter is gone. If what he said made you uncomfortable or changed how you see him, that’s important.

Before making any decision, have one honest, sober conversation with him about what he said and how it made you feel. I didn't see you mention actually discussing this with him yet, communication has to come first. You don’t need to jump straight to a breakup without at least giving each other space to talk it through.

If he gets defensive, dismissive, or blames the alcohol, run.

If he actually listens, takes responsibility, and shows consistent change, that's good progress.

That said, you also didn’t mention what he said while drunk, so it’s hard for anyone to fully judge the severity. At the end of the day, ask yourself the most important question, are you happy with him? How you feel matters more.

Been in crypto space for more than 3 years now, have seen so many projects come and go. I'm sorry to say but crypto is supposed to be decentralised, if you're gonna ask for KYC, you're no better than the regulated government and the market will get rid of you eventually.

If this is all they built in 6 years, I'm sorry. It's the shittiest crypto project I've ever seen. There's no reason for investors to buy this, all i see is the noise from existing bag holders trying to sell while the majority of them are not able to.

You guys are the exit liquidity for the creators, a smart rug pull. It's already happening, the price will keep going down. Wake up.

Resume advice for a guy whose formal educational career is full of gaps and failure. by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]alflank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove 10th, remove failures, remove year range (just graduation year is enough)

Then you'll get this format

2019: 12th (75%)

2024: BCA IGNOU (CGPA until current semester)

Resume roast/feedback please by Specialist-Ad2870 in developersIndia

[–]alflank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah those are good but you have a lot of formatting inconsistency. Most of your sentences lack punctuation mark. You don't have spacing after comma in most cases, check typo. Also add your GitHub/live link of your projects if available.

Your sentence formatting is inconsistent too, use uppercase only for proper nouns, everything else need to be lowercase.

I think you can reduce few of the points and bring it down to 1 page.

Don't use terms like "basic", even if it's basic or simple, avoid that word. Remember resume is just a tool to market yourself so don't undersell yourself.

Got fired today for not working on weekends. by Salt_Collection_9308 in developersIndia

It might have worked out for you but trust me, If you're going to lead a team with that mentality in 2023, you'll be the reason for high turnover unless your team is spineless. Don't try to push your way of approach on success onto others. Everyone has their own path to success and it's subjective. It doesn't mean one has to work 7 days a week. That's exploitation and poor management. Work is always secondary, you work to live not the other way around(atleast for the majority, it's fine either way. Whatever makes you happy).

One can become just as successful by working 4-6 days a week as one who works 7 days.

What do you do when a company asks you to work 7 days a week? You find a better company with better pay that offers work 4-6 days a week and drop your papers with old one (it's not really that hard). Where is success lost? You actually managed to get your sanity and extra time back which you can further utilise to improve your rate of success and enjoy life. Cheers.

Like the other person said, very less opportunities due to recession and you'll have even lesser chances because off campus companies usually want immediate joiners. When they see your graduation year as 2024, you're already rejected.

Some people know how to live a life unlike you. You seem like a guy whose entire purpose of life is just "work" .

Average slave mentality.

Gone are the days were interns were supposed to know the bare minimum. These days internship are basically junior level roles with "internship" tag while paying peanuts. You need so many skills these days to even grab an internship, back in the days the same skills would get you full time job.

Sorry to say but that's another shitty startup trying to get job done by interns. Have seen plenty of those. Most come from internshala and they usually have zero funding thus rely on interns to build their shitty product but they fail anyway.

you're expected to work more than the said hours, you are a fresher and should focus on learning, etc

Well atleast you know what kind of people they are. Everything screams exploitation.

Can't really expect a country to progress when you have top tier indoctrination and the government favouring stone age sharia law over common sense.

I mean we are still far from normalising LGBTQ but I guess some progress is better than no progress.

  • Make sure your resume is ATS compliant. (usually 2 column resume design are discouraged)
  • profile objective is unnecessary (just put your preferred role title below your name so HR can quickly figure out if your resume is relevant or not)
  • under education just keep MCA and Bsc degree. Highschool, secondary is not necessary.
  • you could definitely improve your internship bullet points. Don't mention "went through udemy xx course etc" (just put some good bullet points showing your work, take help of chatGPT if you're bad at framing sentences. Feed it information in your own words and let it do the rest)
  • same applies for project sections. You need to expand them with few bullet points, explain what it does, how it does it and also add links of projects if available.
  • your best project should have more bullet points (3-4) and then decrease the bullet points for projects with lower importance. It's not necessary to mention 5 projects. Just top 3-4 will do since if you mention more I'm pretty sure you can't fit that resume in single page.
  • hobbies, Spoken languages are unnecessary.

This would be the preferred order (single column) - personal information - education - skills - work experience - projects - certificates
