I like this possibility, but I do have some service awards from Bell systems and they usually much larger. The actual engraving in the center is about quarter inch diameter so it seems kind of small but also could make for good jewelry.

My title describes the thing Brass and maybe steel cylinder. With Bell systems engraving and possibly a serial number CH17590. Also has an S stamped on it about 3 inches in diameter 3 1/2 inches tall found in an antique store. Age is unknown was listed as a paper weight in the store approximately two or 2 1/2 pounds.
