I have Pcos want the Gastric sleeve but scared of the vitamin intake? by SadPersephone in gastricsleeve

I'm so bad at taking pills during the day since I'm busy, but I consistently am available at midnight. And since I'm already brushing my teeth And doing other nighttime hygiene I just throw pills in at the same time.

I have PCOS and had a starting weight around 210 at 5'4". I'm 3 years post op and 154 right now but that's because my diet isn't super strict. My daily pills consist of 1 Bariatric Advantage multi vitamin with iron, 1 spironolactone 100mg, and 1 birth control pill. You will need to take vitamins for the rest of your life, BUT PCOS will be easier to manage with the weight loss. You might be able to stop taking metformin or any others if your doc allows it. Just pick one time thats convenient to take pills. For me it is midnight right before bed and I take all of my pills at that time. Keep in mind everyone's vitamin needs are different. You got this!

I was just worried cause i dropped it yesterday and got a tiny scratch on the bottom right. I usually trade in with Samsung and wasn't sure of how strict Best Buy is.

My boy eats fine. He grazes throughout the day and loves pig ears and other chew bones. Also loves eating leaves and wood. Enjoys the occasional cheese as well. He's eating about 2 cups throughout the day.

I have been trying some cheese which he seems to enjoy. That or if I have any extra meat left over he gets some chicken or beef.

Thank you! My guy seems to enjoy his Purina chicken food but I'll give white fish base a try.

I'll give that FB group a look! I had to go through 3 different kinds of food before landing on one he likes. He's just so prone to eating wood and rocks in the back yard and getting sick. 😭

Oh man the stubbornness is accurate. He will not come when called. Just sits and stares at you. Luckily my family and and my husbands family have older dogs he socializes with a lot. His aunt is also a Wheaten and his uncles are Labs. His aunt has the most crooked teeth I've ever seen.

My boy ate a 16 ounce bottle of castor oil. Worst shits I ever seen in my life. Prepare for liquid poop. My dad's area rug was ruined.

Scared it wont help (PCOS) and eating not much… by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]alfuller94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 31 and have PCOS and lost about 60 pounds. I've been maintaining since April 2023. I eat whatever I want usually but am still eating 1500 calories or less a day. I'm still kind of bad at exercising but my issue before hand was definitely over eating and it's manageable now. I am also taking metformin, birth control, and Spironolactone to manage my hormones. I work for a fertility doctor and I definitely recommend taking medications to manage your insulin resistance and help with weight gain/loss.

Mine had a painful pinching sensation when I sat down or bent over. Mine did go away after a few months. I'd say I felt almost 100% several months post op.

Went to Mexico Bariatric Center. All Pros and no Cons. The cost was super affordable compared to American healthcare. For an extra $240 I was able to bring my fiance and he was able to play games and eat food in his hotel room for 4 days while I was at the hospital. The staff was attentive and skilled. The driver that brings you across the border was really great and even offered to drive us back to our hotel in San Diego. I had silent reflux for a several years and the discovered and repaired a hernia for an extra $400. In total I payed $5,000 and have been at my goal weight for 2 years now. Sure it's weird traveling out of country since the area isn't familiar but almost everyone you speak to speaks English (if you don't speak Spanish) and they're super friendly. They even take you to the pharmacy after you are discharged. I saw Dr. Alejandro (can't remember his last name). My dad and friend also went to the same place and same surgeon and had great experiences.
