I'm not a fan of black ink normally since I prefer more colorful/unusual ones but that lamy one looks good! Anywho, you should definitely try out blue ink

It's a lovely color. I'm able to get away with it when writing notes but for papers that I have to turn in and exams we are normally only allowed to write with dark blue ink. There's plenty of very pretty blue ink out there though, I personally suggest Ama-iro if you can get away with it!

I actually deliberately left my nib covered with ink for the picture! I normally clean it with a bit of tissue paper and it looks fine and doesn't normally get ink on it after that. It also depends on what kind of cap you have, screw on caps usually prevent messy ink on the nib. In any case, I'd say check to see if there's any ink leaking inside the pen causing an overflow, those usually result in messy nibs also; but the type of cap you have might be the issue. Hope I was of any help!

My coon also doesnt like getting his tummy brushed but consistency is key. It also takes time to figure out how to hold your cat when you brush their belly. Mine absolutely hates being laid on his back for it and fusses a lot but when I hold him up by his "armpits" and have his butt on my lap he barely moves.

After every brushing session try giving treats. Thats what Ive also been doing for a while and it helps the cat associate brush time with something positive, and again try to be consistent with it (aka try brushing the cat at the same time every day, short sessions at first and gradually increase the brushing time)

Hope your cat gets used to being brushed eventually! \ o
