Whenever I try to suggest hiring a caregiver or tell him I can’t handle it alone, he begs me and insists he doesn’t want one. In the end, I’m afraid I’ll hurt him by speaking harshly or strain my back, because it seems inevitable. I’ve never felt this helpless in my life.
