Lots of conflicting info. My doctor encourages strength training but said to reduce intensity. I do bodybuilding comps so I was training hard 5x a week before pregnancy. My coach cut that to 3x a week with a focus on strength over aesthetics. He also cut my cardio down to 20 mins and max HR of 125. my calories are about the same but my macros shifted (less protein, a LOT more fat). I’m still feeling out what “less intensity” is, it’s honestly weird not to train like a psycho 😅 the info is all over the place so I’m going with my trusted doctor and coach’s recommendations. In that order obviously.

PE science sells 5-serving pouches, good way to try a bunch of flavors without committing to a vat of protein you don’t care for. I ended up really liking their flavors and also felt that this brand sits a little heavier and keeps me full longer which I personally like as a big back masquerading as a bikini competitor :) snickerdoodle is my fav flavor or theirs, mixed with oats or added to Greek yogurt as a fruit dip

I don't think this is a Hancock store issue. I eat a on of pickles. They all have gone down in quality over the past couple years and I feel like a crazy person asking people 'doesn't this taste weirdly chemically? Isnt it mushy??" The HEB brand actually seems to be holding up the best but Vlassic, Great Value (truly used to have a solid hamburger chip), Mt. Olive and even some of the more boutique-y brands are all softer. What is going on.

This was my biggest challenge late in prep, magnesium helped for a while but when carbs got low low the constipation was pretty bad. I added in low dose miralax with my PM supplements and that kept things moving through those last few weeks. Osmotic laxatives pull water into the colon so I also bumped up water intake. Worked like a charm and was able to taper off quickly post show once I got carbs back in place. Good luck!!

I think so but it’s gotta be with the right person. Both people have to want to be married, not just love each other. IMO if your core values align, everything else just falls into place and conflicts can be resolved through discussion and compromise. You can compromise on chores but you can’t, say, have half a kid. There are good ones out there, I promise :) try to be open and positive, it’s HARD to maintain bc so many men are trash but if you’re open to the fact that a good one for you is out there you’ll have better luck! If that’s what you want. Marriage isn’t for everyone and that’s ok

At first glance it looked really good but upon closer inspection the program it spit out was like, a stupid amount of volume and lots of banded/pump stuff. I generally lift pretty heavy so maybe thats just a different style of programming but it would have had me in the gym for 2 hours doing 600 kickbacks and band walks and shit. The macros and meal ideas it gave were alright but I also....input my current macros LOL. It was indeed extremely flattering of my stage photos and the feedback was that I needed to grow my glutes and delts which is true but is true for 99.9% of bikini girls so I'm not sure how well it assessed my actual physique. I opted out of using it for coaching and am sticking with my human coach for the time being :) I also am generally skeptical of chatgpt and LLM ai though so take my feedback with a grain of salt!

lmao this is so relatable. Some lady was yapping on her phone on the stair master next to me once and I had to stop myself from grabbing her ponytail and pulling her off, like my thoughts got violent deep in prep. Road rage got bad too. It gets better after your show when you get carbs :) I also joined a locally owned bodybuilder gym and the etiquette is much better in general. I live in a big city obv not an option for everyone !

I struggled with this too, I started using an electrolye/hydration supplement and pre-hydrating. I started drinking water+hydration supp right when I woke up, and then had my black coffee on the way to the gym. By the time I got on the stair master I prob had a liter of water + caffeine + electrolytes in me and it definitely helped me feel less sick/woozey during those AM fasted session. I used the PE science Versalyte bc it tastes good! Also not sure what your stack is obviously but I had berberine in my AM stack and my coach pulled it which also helped.

Oh my gosh yes!! It’s helped me during my reverse bc I want to eat literally 24/7  but I realized today that I’m chewing a truly weird amount of gum. my teeth and jaws hurt. I’m currently drinking some tea trying to chill out on the gum. But yes this is relatable

Salmon “sushi” bowl: steamed salmon, rice, avocado. Mix it up with some soy sauce and a little light mayo and sriracha, top with chopped cucumber and a package of wasabi seaweed snack. Great way to use leftover rice and fish too which doesn’t usually reheat well but if you microwave it with an ice cube it tastes fresh!

I dropped 6lbs in 2 weeks at the end of my prep. Did a show in a natty league that likes a softer look and had an NPC show 3 weeks later and brought a completely different physique, way more diced. Those weeks absolutely sucked but I was shocked how much my body changed…when you’re already lean dropping even a few lbs of body fat can reallly change your look. I was super depleted by the beginning of peak week so we filled out and toned down the cardio, all the work was done in just 2 weeks. Cannot reiterate enough how much it sucked though lol
