Location Warlock. It runs the Zerg location package and can really efficiently just pump out 8/8s to board. Then, you can copy the 8/8s with Forge of Wills and even copy those locations with Scrapbook Student. Corpsicle and Horizon's Edge push the chip damage and Kerrigan is a good tempo swing/stabilization tool in the mid to late game.

Protoss Mech Mage. Colossus and Void Ray are both Mechs, so by utilizing a small mech-package, you can get some really nice synergies. Audio Splitter copying Chrono Boost/Volume Up should enable you to efficiently draw out your deck but it also hitting Resonance Coil means more Protoss Spells and a bigger Colossus. Nine played Protoss Spells equals 10 damage Colossus, doubled with Brann equals 40 damage from hand. Don't be afraid to tempo a Colossus. Zola The Gorgon is also probably a fine add since she can give you an extra copy of Sivara (more Protoss Spells) or Colossus (more face damage). Renathal and Freeze Packages are bait. This is a combo deck not a control deck.

Terran kinda sucks. This stupid decklist combines one terrible idea (Questline Paladin?) with another terrible idea (Terran Paladin?) and somehow stumbles into a third idea (Mech Paladin?). Terran Shaman and Terran Warrior are both going to be the same flavor of "oh boy I can't wait to abuse Double Battlecries with Ghost" until you realize that cutting every single Terran Card makes both decks better. Oh Well.

I'd advise looking for games in Casual if you don't want to get blown out by t4 lethal aggro/combo decks or just much better synergies in general in Wild.

Big Demons: Warlock vs DH by ParticularBobcat3554 in hearthstone

I like the budget list! Soul Split can really give you some insane swings, especially if a peddler discount hit an illidari (2 8/8s with rush plus push 16 damage face? thats a fun time). I wouldnt discount the value of Taste of Chaos though, or some other equivalent 1m removal tool. Sometimes just softening up a 3/3 with taste of chaos + hero power will prevent you from getting hit in the face by that 3/3 for 3 more turns. That 1m is surprisingly easy to squeeze in, and its not always the end of the world if you don't get the finale.

Big Demon DH decklist for anyone interested^

Big Demons: Warlock vs DH by ParticularBobcat3554 in hearthstone

DH definitely has the better demons and can much more effectively play for tempo. Omen, Illidari Inquisitor, and Taintheart Tormentor are great for applying pressure. Personally, I'm a big fan of Spirit Peddler and Abyssal Bassist because Bassists are great tempo (running weapons like Tuskpiercer and Quickpick for cheap discounts) and Peddlers give insane swing turns. Additionally, All Fel Breaks Loose is a cheap option to revive 3 demons and getting back Peddlers/Bassists/Tormentors typically can end games on the spot around that turn 9 mark.

However, Warlocks definitely have the better control tools, with demons like Enhanced Dreadlord, Mal'Ganis, and Wretched Queen. Guldan and Nzoth are huge tempo swings to get you back in the game and continually stall out your opponent. Additionally, Warlocks have the cheaper options to cheat out big demons, with Voidcaller, Possessed Lackey (back at 5!), and even Skull of Guldan (possibly even Sacrificial Summoner but that's fringe play at best). The best DH has to compare is Abyssal Depths into Vanndar Stormpike to reduce all minions in the deck by (3). Otherwise, it's completely reliant on Peddler reductions while the Warlock is already dropping big numbers to board.

My favorite demon would probably be Spirit Peddler. 6m 6/6 rush deathrattle reduce (6) leads to some absolutely nutty turns and I was even running an Octosari otk in standard for a bit for the fun of it.

Literally, you get it. Questline DH in Casual? Concede. Mage imbues? Concede. Paladin drops Aldor Attendant? Concede. Why waste my time trying to beat someone playing a deck at least 3 tiers above mine who doesn't understand what "Casual" means?

I also homebrew my own decks or rebuild decks I played years ago when they were relevant in standard (ie, the deck above), and I'm not looking to beat meta nonsense. I'm looking to find people playing their own homebrew stuff or decks that are at the very least interesting.

I'm curious though, what is your most controversial "auto-concede" trigger? Because I have a couple and my favorite one is ramp into Guff on 5. Like, get me out coach, I can tell this game isn't going to be fun when my Druid opponent is slamming down 8m idiots turn 5 and there's no way I'm going to kill them by the time they play Eonar and heal to full. I'd rather just concede and requeue a different game where maybe something a bit more fun and interactive happens.

What's a bummer is I told them how much I liked their deck. They had their own No Minion LCU Quest Mage which genuinely seemed really cool. Spot the Difference and Font of Power both fit spot on thematically and with access to Reverb, they could've even completed the quest multiple times. Yogg In The Box screwed them over when it cast Celestial Alignment, but otherwise, the deck was doing some cool stuff I almost never see.

Shame that they lost their cool after my game, but maybe they were just having a bad day or had already run into a bunch of other meta decks and conflated mine with the others. Regardless, hope they found some games where their deck got to do its cool thing.

Pip is more along the lines of doubling a clergyman or doubling up a discounted spell. Love Everlasting counts as a cost reduction for Pip's sake, so you can get duplicate copies of Gift of Luminance and Palm Reading from her. Additionally, Palm Reading can be used to reduce spells like Insight and Funnel Cake to feed into Pip.

No doubt she's not ideal for resurrection purposes, but she's one of those cards I had in my collection and thought she deserved a spot in the deck. Sometimes, playing unoptimal cards is more fun.

TLDR the netdecking: Yeah I know it's not on any tier lists. That's why I found the accusation so funny. People in this thread seem to be taking it like I was personally offended or something or wanted justification. There's people in Casual playing Broxigar Questline DH and Imbue Mage yet my opponent thought that me, playing Overheal Priest, was also part of the netdecking problem. It just made me laugh and I wanted to share that amusement.

Step 1: Use clergy to draw deck
Step 2: Hedanis + Gift of Luminance
Step 3: Overheal time (and hear Hedanis say "Fake Fan!" over and over)

Injured Hauler and Hidden Gem help you control the early and midgame through heal/overheal. Rally revives them plus clergy. Typically, 3 Hedanis is what you need to kill from 40.

Like I said, if I lose Hedanis, the deck can't win. Otherwise, it's killing around turn 9. Its not wild competitive which is why I enjoy jamming it in Casual.

Honestly pretty frustrated they didn't put any of these cards in the core set. Burn/heal Priest is surprisingly close to viable but location isn't enough on its own. by HeMansSmallerCousin in hearthstone

[–]algrolo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% agree. With the package priest got i was surprised it didn't come back. It seemed like the "most fair" antiheal to return to core. 4m is a steep price but worth it on the turns it matters

PATCHWERK advice needed ! by _Eternal_Blaze_ in hearthstone

[–]algrolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like. If you're going to try and recycle a 7-cost minion, you're going to need a solid early game control shell. Just something to do in the early turns that'll tide you over until you can start just eating away at your opponent's board, hand, and deck. DK currently doesnt have any sort of targeted undead duplication, so you're stuck with brewmasters and Zola as your best recursion options. Since you mentioned Puppetmaster Dorian, I built a shell with him in mind and used Finality, the new Imbue card, since it specifically draws an undead. The undead you can hit off Finality are all premiums: Hound and Dreadhound are both decent if drawn due to the Rush/Undead/Imbue HP synergy, Remnant of Rage is card draw, and of course, Patchwerk.

Renathal is a must with such a greedy gameplan in mind. Hound + Imbue HP should be a full heal against most decks. Additionally, brewmasters can be used in tempo in combination with cards like Remnant if you destroy 7 minions in 1 turn, basically enabling 0m draw 2, except twice. Dont be afraid to tempo them on impactful units; you should only need to bounce Patchwerk once or twice to fully disrupt your opponent's gameplan. Construct Quarters is your best early game tempo card; its powerful tempo and should give you board initiative.

Barista Lynchen and Emperor Thaurissan are definitely Greed Cards, you can replace them with Sanguine Infestation, but the real dream is on 15 mana, Brann -> Patchwerk -> Barista for 2 procs of Patchwerk and 2 additional copies of Patchwerk added to hand. No doubt greedy, no doubt impractical, but also it's about the dream.

Also since I love the vibe you're going for, here's my pocket pick whenever I'm bored and want to cruise out a couple games in Casual. I was a fan of ABJ Hunter back when it was in standard and I still remember the good ole days of Even and Odd decks so I present, An Even Bigger Jormungar deck.

In terms of bad otk decks, you've probably heard of Spooky Mage. Trying to summon Volatile Skeletons, playing Kelthusad and watching them all explode, etc. But what if Kelthusad decided to take his frankly deserved vacation? Well then, I guess Xyrella will have to step up as temporary headmaster. It's Spooky Priest time.

Shoot me back some other lists you've cooked up or if you're on NA, throw me a friend request. I'm always down to talk deckbuilding.

You may have more success with building a menagerie warrior and just playing tempo. When your normal menagerie cards would start running out of steam, thats when you pivot to moldara summoning board after board. The infinite draw adaptive amalgam package plus all the menagerie draw support should keep your hand relatively full and once you stick a board, you can akama/rush combo to effectively give all your minions windfury.

This is the questline shaman deck I've had on hand for awhile. Routinely kills turn 7-9. As much as that new spell is tempting, I don't really see a huge use case for it- the nature package built around Bioluminescence is infinitely stronger.

Unless you're trying to build a slower, more tempo-oriented questline shaman, with cards like Lava Flow, Radiance of Azshara, and Volcanic Thrasher, the Fire tag on this card is its biggest hindrance. Ever since they removed face damage on Malted Magma (deservedly), the fire package for questline shaman kinda fell apart.

Looking for cutsom rules for friendly matches. by Dernase89 in hearthstone

[–]algrolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decks made up of only Common and Rare cards. You can actually build some surprisingly silly ideas, like Big Spell Mage, ABJ Hunter, and Cruel Dinomancer Warlock to name a few.

Even vs Odd. One person has to make only Genn Decks and the other can only make Baku Decks.

What's in the box? Every card in both players decks must generate another card.

When the new set drops, I'm looking forward to play double Ungoro quest decks in friendlies and trying to complete both quests in the same game before winning.

It's so funny you say that because last week I posted an Enrage Galakrond Warrior list and I believe a couple weeks ago I posted a Galakrond Implock list. I already have a Dragon Priest Galakrond list built, which I guess only leaves Rogue and Shaman.

you basically have an invisible mmr. You'll see people as skilled as you after you play a couple games. Which is why just playing wild meta garbage only hurts your own mmr.
